Gosh, there was fricking bee in here! I am terrified of bees!

It was on a towel and I put a glass bowl over it and carred the whole operation outside. :shudders:

The most romantic thing my husband ever did was when we dating, a Texas yellowjacket landed on me while we were peddle boating and I was parlayzed with fear and he flicked it off me. :wubbie: He was brave. He rescued me.

I've been stung so many times it doesn't even phase me anymore.

I don't know if thats a good thing.

I have stepped on a wasp twice when I was eight, but never stung other than that. My foot swelled up and hurt really bad.

Not sure why I am afraid of them, always was since a little girl.

IS??
FWIW I was always petrified of stingy things since I was a child. Then when working as a wood-cutter in my 20's I was twice swarmed by yellow-jackets. I didn't die...and that helped me a lot. Now, instead of being afraid I just try to live and let live. Most of these insects are not intersted in stinging, just living ( i.e. foody bits)...if they percieve you as a threat, they will sting...and it hurts. Unless you are allergic, you will live.

My best friend used to just walk up to wasps and crush them between his thumb and forefinger. Yikes.

Yeah, it is not a logical fear. Just a fear. I am not that afraid of snakes or spiders. ;)

Just one of those things.

 on being swarmed by yellow jackets! ugh.
