An interesting study regarding the effects of anti-angiogenic therapies on disease (including cancer and obesity). Excess angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels, is shown to facilitate growth of cancers and fat cells. However, certain foods/herbs and drugs have been shown to be anti-angiogenic, in that they are directly correlated with a decrease in the growth of new blood vessels. This inhibition of blood vessel growth has been shown to correlate with a decrease in disease progression and in some cases a complete remission.
