This campaign they beat the reigning Italian, french and German champions, all away in Turin, France and Munich, respectively.
And if you think this is suppose to be a fluke then think again; they just clinched their fourth champions league title in 5 years, an unprecedented feat within the modern football era. Of course it all started when they broke the transfer market world record by purchasing Gareth Bale, who has now scored game winners in 3 out of 5 domestic/ European cup competitions, and just recently scored the greatest goal in any final I've ever seen.
Surely this would mean that they're the greatest team within the modern era? I mean the only other team that would come even remotely close to their unprecedented dominance in Europe would be Barcelona... who are overly dependent on Messi, lost away to a fourth placed Italian side and also have this Suarez guy who always seems like he's competing for some type of Oscar.
