Trump claimed ballots were 'dumped in a river.' The reality is far from it.

I found it interesting that the Wisconsin ballots have trackable bar codes on them, I wonder how many other states do that.

There is a hell of a jump this year (not surprisingly) in the amounts of ballots requests and/or submitted.
This also seems strange because I think the mail-in ballots will tend to be people who take COVID-19 seriously enough that they are avoiding voting in person. That demographic would lean more towards the Left. I've been concerned about having voted early, but I put my ballot in one of the designated ballot collection boxes. I think the mail-in ballots are going to be more of a help to Biden.

Yes. Yes it is.
A retreating enemy is probably just falling back and regrouping.
Or else they're trying to suck you into a serious ambush!

Seriously, everything has been such total dickage for a long time, you can't trust anything.

Just stay on target and push forward as hard as you can and not rely on easy answers or seemingly fortuitous events.

Oh lol I DO think this could be the jackpot for the Dems.

On a polling note, remember when you said Arkansas hasn't had a poll since June? Have you seen anything since then? Not that it matters much but other red states have updated polls.

I am not sure that I get the point with Arkansas. I can interpret that line in a number of ways.

But as I said yesterday, the state is still only on that random "shocking" poll.

No point, I just wondered if you have seen anything new. I've been checking occasionally since you mentioned it but I could have missed something.

Yeah it is totally weird, that next to all those polls that that they made over the recent weeks no one had the desire to test this polls.

The bizarre part is that this is the home state of the Clinton's if I am not mistaken. So there could be some logic behind the idea that the state is unusually blue this year.

I was a little thrown-off by his tweet too announcing his quarantine. For a guy who was visibly spiraling off the rails for the last few days, I have trouble reconciling that with the cheery tone of his tweet... he has basically been hitting rock-bottom and going out of control. I have to wonder if someone else tweeted that from his account, because he was indisposed or not in the right frame of mind.

Has he kept tweeting? I don't follow Twitter.

Wasn't that one of those kinds of tweets that's clearly written by his staff though? Sometimes he tweets something with complete sentences, diplomatic tone, etc - it's clearly typed out and posted by someone else.

I thought there was a way to check based on the phone being used (it used to flag -- although maybe they changed it to make it less transparent now). I mean, if that's the understanding, then it clearly scanned to me as "someone posting an 'all is well, no need to alarmed!' message for Trump" rather than Trump actually tweeting it.

A reminder here - from Trump - that people who are weak enough to get sick make shitty leaders.

It's unreal there are people (at FOX, for one) suggesting Biden should put his campaign on hold until Trump improves. If the situation were reversed, not only would Trump continue full steam ahead - he'd probably start making things up about how covid makes a person cognitively decline. "They're never quite the same afterwards. That's what the doctors are saying. A lot of really smart doctors are saying it. Their personality, their intelligence, it never quite returns. And there was very little left of Biden's smarts left to begin with. He'll be a vegetable - that's what it does to people, and that's what it'll do to him."

****

I guess Twitter is removing posts expressing wishes for Trump to die. I saw a surprising amount on Facebook earlier, in comments following news pieces. Anyone hear whether they plan to put a ceiling on that?

Full steam ahead. Were the situation reversed they'd be calling him "weak" for being in the hospital to begin with or planning his funeral. New nickname from Team Trump would be: "Joe To Go."

Thank god Flordia has the Baker Act because Ron DeSantis' wife is going to need it for his own wellbeing if something happens to Trump.

Today 538 dumped plenty of what I think are online polls.

Therefore now Arkansas looks a lot more red (+16). What is more of a number you would expect for such state.
Although these aren't real polls.

Plus here is how I see the map at this point. (it is pretty educated guess)

If Pennsylvania gets only a point or two more blue it will become likely D state and with that there will be 270 just in Safe D and Likely D. What makes it kind of a checkmate. Especially since there should be much more blue on the map than just 270. In the polls Georgia is very narrowly blue but I need another point or two to make it blue in my mind.
