As for Clare, he was an EXTP (Hobbies: masquerade, fast cars, photography, pets.)
He grew up in Ocean City, NJ.
It is a summer resort for the rich in Philadelphia.
It is there he made the contacts.
A socialite friend, the wife of a wealthy industrialist from Pittsburgh, participated in two of his plays. One of them won a prize.

The Haze family had a holiday in Ocean City, in 1945.
Clare engaged on a lecture tour in New England, early in 1946.
Mrs Haze was the secretary of the authors' guild, in Ramsdale, Mass.

I saw the 1997 film. I have no recollection of it.
Kubrick made an impression.

Hmm, I haven't read too much about him, but I could imagine that from his writing. I could also see him projecting his personality onto Hum.

I don't remember much about the book, except for a few good scenes that stuck in my memory. Never seen the films.

She was very close to how I imaged Lolia. Very impish.
