I've met enough ENFPs to know that most you want to be around people all the time. You like people. You like to interact and stuff. Personally, it is difficult for me to comprehend why or how its possible that you like such interactions, but its just the way it is. Moreover, many ENFPs like to read books/poetry. I am pretty sure you like to write and express yourself a lot.
Based on all of these assumptions (and without knowledge of your previous job experiences or college degrees), I have 2 recommendations.
(1) Try to get a job trying to help disabled children, or some sort of job to help children or people who've lost their way at some sort of community center.
(2) Don't get a job, stay home, focus, and write a book, take it to a publisher, and try to make a living that way. Don't underestimate your work, just focus and do what feels natural.
If these recommendations make no sense, then just laugh and tell me that I'm completely off.
LOL..not bad at all.. Atm I'm applying for mediator jobs. Still have to hear back from some of em. The problem is that I have a Masters in languages, not psychology (though I'm thinking of going back to school and getting that one too). I love to write, but I don't have the drive or stamina for a book..especially coz I'd constantly be reorganizing it, leaving the book to be forever unfinished
You have an amazing voice. If I were a very rich man I would pay you lots of money to read me bedtime stories, even if it was on Ventrilo.
I say this not in jest, it's true. So, I think you should think of looking into being a radio announcer, or host of a TV show. Maybe a journalist, someone who interviews folks. You have great people skills and are a Viking princess.
Another dimension to consider is what do you want to do in your career? Do you want to make money, or help people?
Do you want stable hours and great benefits (think state job or federal job) with high employment security?
Do you like high risk, irregular schedule, lots of room for advancement, but just as much for loss, all at the whim of others, and not necessarily based on merit or just cause? Then work at a small company.
Do you wish to pursue any academic interests? Are you entrepeneurial? Do you want to work in a building or outside?
I recommend you find a rich man, marry him, and help him spend his money. Seriously. There is nothing wrong with you finding a nice, rich man, who is a good looking fellow and who treats you right. Go for it. It's alot easier than working for a living.
Thanks Halla, but as Peguy pointed out..I have stagefright, though I am working on getting that sorted. Also, there are so many others that would wanna do that job. I used to dream of singing professionally though, but then again, which little girl doesn't?
I mostly just wanna be able to take care of myself. I don't really care about money, but I wanna make enough so I can afford not to care
The jobs I've applied for are all government jobs with a nice pension and a lot of free time...this was a lucky side-effect of my choices as I wasn't exactly going for that. I've found though that if I want a job that doesn't use money or competition as a drive, the government seems to be the only one to offer that. And as long as I do my job, they seem unconcerned as to how I go about it, leaving me to do things my way..which is kinda important to me.
I have a very low drive to build out a career, I just wanna be able to feel like I'm doing something worthwhile, something I can enjoy and something I can learn from. I'm kinda addicted to doing extra courses and gaining more knowledge.
As for the marrying wealthy...I don't really feel like being dependent on a guy (though if I'm honest..I sorta am atm, but it's not like I couldn't survive on my own if need be). My guy is pretty well off, but I feel immensely guilty whenever I let him take care of me, so I doubt I'd be able to do that...It does hold appeal however, to not have to work at all and just be wined and dined
Too bad the guilt would wreck it anyway.
In fact, if I weren't to have the priority of a deep relationship in my life, I'd consider working as an escort or a stripper, I think. Easy cash, great life style and no misunderstandings (yes, I am aware this is only the theory and unlikely to match reality
).
I agree she has a nice voice, but she seems rather shy at times to speak in front of large number of people. She tends to prefer more one on one conversations, so I can see counsellor as a possibility. Especially with her interests in psychology.
I'd love to do so and I am getting my degree in animal behaviorism hopefully this year. But I'd have to go back to school to actually become one for people, I think. It's on my list...
Oh plzzzz elaborate
You can be the Gatekeeper.
(I'm the Key Master.)
Ok, as much as I adore geeks, I don't speak 'Geek'. Can you translate please?
Psychologist, assuming you prefer deeper interactions with a fewer number of people. It should also pay well and have no risk of being outsourced to a call center in India.
uhm.. i wasn't aware I was running that risk, tnx!
A belly dancer,
a phone sex operator,
or a mythologist, like Joseph Campbell.
Maybe all three.....
That would be really cool.
Don't have the stomach for professional work with mythology, but it is a definite amateur interest of mine
A phone sex operator...yeah. You're not the first to suggest that, but I doubt my SO will approve
I'm no ESFP. And it shows in my dancing. I'm not present enough in this world to be constantly elegant and in complete control of my body, so I'll skip on the professional dancing, but nice try
