This is a snippet from a recent Rolling Stone interview with Kid Rock. I mean I want to laugh but there are so many people without any grasp of factual events - they truly believe 9/11 and MS-13 are exactly the same people doing exactly the same thing. And so easily triggered.

Trump says he’s ‘looking at’ contraception restrictions

Banning both abortion and contraception is evidently a bad idea. One can be perhaps be managed, but if it is both that evidently lead to serious social problems.
The best way to minimize the number of abortions provided is to make effective contraception widely available. The fact that people pushing to ban abortion don't strongly support birth control shows they have a different agenda.

Haley says she will vote for Trump, calls Biden ‘a catastrophe’

One more on the topic.
However this is clearly a boost, there is no doubt about it.
Haley is just playing for 2028. I suspect she will run again for the Republican ticket, so it would be very dangerous politically for her not to support the Republican candidate this time around. Even if it is the dastardly Trump.

And she is right, Biden is a catastrophe. Less of a threat to democracy than Trump, but arguably every bit as inept as a leader, possibly even more inept. I can't imagine many Haley supporters would vote for Biden, but maybe some of them would sit this election out (or maybe vote RFK Jr. as a protest vote). This may influence some of those potential 'abstainers' to stick with the Republicans (Trump), but I can't see it moving the needle much. Of course, in a tight election, every little bit helps.

She is indeed probably playing for 2028 and beyond.

However since swing states in 2020 were won by a point of less her move is quite likely to make a difference. Since I doubt that this is the move that weights less than 2 to 3 points when it comes to shifting of the entire map towards right. In other words plenty of senate seats are quite competitive and keeping some important ones was a long shot for Democrats even as it was (like Ohio and Montana). Therefore with this is kinda safe bet that the senate is going red. Dems have to win something like 7 competitive seats and in them are Ohio and Montana, which are evidently red states at this point. While the best odds for Democrat pick up are Florida and Texas (that are evidently long shots). Therefore with what she has done she has evidently tilted plenty of things in down-ballot department. And we all know that presidency means little if you don't control various other things in the system.

Just saying
