If you are reading this, you might be an INFJ who is confused about the different flavorings of INFJs and where you are on the spectrum. Socionics and ennegram types can greatly affect how you behave, and two INFJs may share the same MBTI but may behave totally differently from each other. It doesn't necessarily mean that one or even both of them are somehow mistyped, though they are usually criticized by others and are usually at the hands of being mistyped over this.

Based on some research, INFJs come in two different flavors, if you don't mind my elementary way of describing them: Ni-INFJ (Intuitive) and Fe-INFJ (Ethical). There are also INFJs who equally prefers both Ni and Fe (ie. Lisa Simpson), but for now, I'll focus on the first two.

Ni-INFJ: Michelle Pfeiffer (Video)
The most common INFJ is the Ni-INFJ ones: They are logical, yet emotional. They protect their INFJ clan and are extremely wary of letting people in unless they are 100% sure that the other person is a confirmed INFJ. They are pretty organized, to the point of being boastful about it. They are hyper aware of logical inconsistencies (Due to their well developed Ti) and enjoy academics, often succeeding in their roles of students and going on to thrive in universities and advanced learning. Despite their heavy thinking leanings, they are still very sensitive and desire to get along well with others, though they hold themselves back. They may have enneagram types of 1, 5, 6, and 8, though it is absolutely possible to have other types with the Ni-INFJ's makeup. They are usually mistyped as: INTJ, INTP, or ISTJ.

Fe-INFJ: Evangeline Lilly (Video)
Fe-INFJ are more rare among the INFJ population, and they usually feel confused and like outsiders no matter where they go. They feel completely alone within themselves, and cannot seem to find another person who are just like them. They are very emotional and social, giving them an extroverted vibe, yet they cherish their solitude and gaining energy from time spent thinking and being alone. They feel like superheros trying to save their friends and family, and the world itself, often to the deterioration of other important aspects in their lives, like their health and school grades. They may have enneagram types of 2, 4, 7, and 9, though it is absolutely possible to have other types with the Fe-INFJ's makeup. They are usually mistyped as: INFP, ISFJ or ENFJ.

Hope this may give some people clarity of thought and how possible it is to be mistyped as an INFJ from other people!
