I think we can say the world has 2000 and a few hundred kings, including dictators already.
Know the question is how much billions we can consider slaves.

Another article had said that the top 1% owns more than a half of wealth...
If we think about a small village/kingdom with 1000 people, 10 people would own more than a half of the land, while the others 990 would have the other half of the land. Plenty of space for 10 little castle/palace with slaves.
So "we" haven't evolved much from the dark ages at the end of the day.
