A tale about Roman Empire trying to expand into Celtic lands in 400 AD, and Druids, respected and feared by the local folk trying to thwart them off, and some supernatural forces manipulating the two parties towards their respective goals.
There's some ritual magic involved but it is not overt and you cannot tell if it is magic or just some sort of self-suggestion augmented by drugs and medicine. The story is a bit dark but the narration style is not entirely dark, lingering around goofy twilight style fantasy.
The show started in 2017 and currently spans 3 seasons, and season 4 might be underway.
