Hi.
So I'm pretty sure that I'm a 4 at this point. But I've read several articles and watched just as many videos, and I can't figure out what my wing is. I've heard that you can use either wing depending on the situation but that there's one you tend to rely most on, and that you can sometimes be confused with whatever your wing is.
Reasons I could see how I'm a 3 wing: I can sometimes seem very extroverted and upbeat if I'm in a setting where I feel accepted. I love fashion and being openly expressive using it. I can be emotionally volatile (someone said this is a sign of a 3 wing, I don't know.)
Reasons I may not be: I really don't see myself as a competitive person, despite the description given for sx-dom 4s in general. And I'm not ambitious at all lol. Usually I just try to keep my focus on doing what I know I personally like and, if I am feeling jealous/wishing I had something someone else does, I look into myself and think of other ways I can be useful without changing.
Reasons I could see how I'm a 5 wing: Mostly because of what I said above about trying to figure out how to be comfortable in my own skin, rather than trying to relate to anything outwardly. I'm very stubborn in this way.
Reasons I may not be: Embarrassing to admit but I don't think I'm very intellectual or research-oriented. I know a lot about things I really care about but I get way too bored if I try to study things I can't apply to my own personal experience. I wonder if this is because I'm an ISFP rather than INFP?
I'm just wondering if there are any specific questions I could be asked that would better help me figure mine out? Thank you in advance if anyone tries to assist.
