1. How would you describe how you talk?
Talk in circles, ask endless questions; often know what you mean but have trouble expressing it so others understand VKA, KVA
Use metaphors freely ("It's like a whirlwind. I was spinning like a top."), sometimes preceded by a short hesitation or "Umm" VAK, KAV
Shy or self-conscious about speaking in groups VKA, KVA
Make hand motions before speaking, must use hands or movements to speak or find the word VKA, KAV [didn't use to do that much until my twenties, but once i learned to gesture more i started to find it useful for helping me find the correct words, filling in the silence gaps or just expressing my feelings better]
2. How would you describe the way you make eye contact?
"Eye shy," look away frequently AKV, KAV
Eyes glaze over from lengthy listening VKA, KVA [not so much from listening as from being "off in my own world" and losing touch with my surroundings, either because i am too engrossed in/enthusiastic about the topic i'm discussing or because i'm too concentrated on recalling a feeling or memory]
3. What do you remember most easily?
What's been seen or read; peoples' faces; memorize by writing something repeatedly VAK, VKA [all except the faces. i used to have severe difficulty recognizing people outside my closest circle of friends and family until my early twenties or so. i'm much better at this now, the point where it is no longer a problem, but when i was around fourteen i used to go to tennis classes every other day and couldn't recognize the other girls that attended them, despite seeing them on a regular basis. other than that - yes, my memory is almost purely visual]
4. How do you tend to organize projects and figure out what to do next?
You organize in piles KVA, KAV [not sure what this means - if this is about physically arranging objects, then yes, i do, especially if it is a craft project]
You talk it through AVK, AKV [i enjoy feedback or brainstorming sessions with friends and find both very useful. doing without these can be difficult, though i suppose i can still manage]
You make lists VKA, VAK [i don't naturally tend to compile lists, but, frankly, i need them in order not to forget half or more of what i have to do]
5. How would you describe your physical interaction with the world?
Constantly and confidently in motion KAV [constantly, yes, confidently, hardly - i would describe it as chaotic and often purposeless movement. i can't sit still for more than fifteen minutes at a time for the most part, get physically restless quick and have trouble focussing, unless i am doing something i enjoy immensely]
can't really answer the question about learning physical activities, because a lot depends on what the activity in question is. i don't think i have an issue with most of them - at least, when it comes to something like bodybuilding exercises, cooking or, say, hand crafts, i can learn them easily through watching, with little to no verbal instruction, as most of that process is based on visual input. on the other hand, if it is an activity such as dancing which is done in groups and requires me to fine-tune my movements to those of others (or to music), then it is likely to be more difficult.
high energy levels? definitely not. at least i don't feel i have one. i may be physically and psychologically (in)tense, sometimes both at once, but it is not the same. and mental fatigue is something i've been trying to fight for years.
6. What is most likely to "space you out" or distract you?
Too much visual detail; been shown something or many things; questions about what you have seen AKV, KAV [too much visual information at a time can be stimulating - even intoxicating in a sense - but also very disorienting]
Too many words, verbal explanations; questions about what you've heard VKA, KVA [i may need some time to process verbal information, if someone bombards me with too many spoken instructions without giving me a chance to do this, i get confused]
the last one would be fine - all except being asked how i feel. that wouldn't distract as much as bewilder me, or leave me lost for words. expect a "er - what? - i don't know" followed by something convoluted, vague and heavily metaphor-laden.
7. What would be your preferred way of presenting information to a group?
Visual presentation (charts, photographs, written information, slides) VAK, VKA [essential - directly relates to my way of thinking and processing information, prevents me from getting derailed while talking]
Oral presentation AKV, AVK [important, but secondary - would be useless without some visual aids or at least a brief outline with bullet points that would keep me on track]
8. What do you remember most easily about someone you just met?
What you did with them or how they felt KVA, KAV
How they looked VKA, VAK
can't decide between "how they felt" and "how they looked". all things considered, i guess the vibe or intangible aura a person has could be the most important to me. i could remember what they said too, in case it had an unexpected emotional impact (was shocking, moving or very true), but this is rare.
9. What's most important when you decide which clothes to wear?
How they feel; how comfortable they are KVA, KAV [i would never choose clothes that feel uncomfortable or constantly bring my thoughts back to the fact that i have a body and it is wearing something. so i guess this is more important]
The color(s); how they look VAK, VKA [can be extremely significant on an emotional level - colors that feel "right" or relate to my moods will raise my spirits and improve my feeling of who i am, in more than just the physical sense. but then, on the other hand, i have done without buying such clothes for months or even years at a time]
10. What are you least likely to remember from dreams?
You rarely remember sounds or words KVA, VKA [my memories of dreams, as well as of waking reality, are practically silent, save for the random word or phrase here and there. i may remember what was said at first, but quickly forget it if i don't write it down at once]
11. How do you multi-task most easily?
You can see reality and your imagination at the same time, or you can rotate visual images in space and see them from different perspectives AVK, KVA [i suppose i can see my inner reality and the outer one simultaneously, but it requires an effort, and eventually i tend to tune out the latter in favor of the former. it's much more common for me to be walking "on autopilot", being only half-aware of where i am, or to carry out other physical activities automatically while being completely absorbed in my imagination. with the visual images, yes, i do it all the time]
You stay in touch with your emotions even when physically active VKA, AKV [rather, i am out of touch with my emotions and it makes little difference whether i am physically active or not. also, unless i am actively daydreaming - which i do most of the time, but can stop at will - my internal states, that obscure and sometimes overwhelming what-should-i-call-it, can blend in with my surroundings]
so i guess it's a combination of these.
12. What do you tend do when struggling to recall a memory?
You stop seeing your surroundings, but may continue talking and moving AKV, KAV [i shut out my surroundings and start staring into space first, then stop moving my hands, then start to falter, struggle to find the correct words and fall silent - in that order]
based on this, i score most for VKA, followed by KAV and KVA. though if i am to go by the descriptions, KVA appears to be the most accurate.
VKA: great collaborator
Writes logically; may like to draw and design
Connects best by eye contact
Visually meticulous; organizes in lists
Learns easily by reading or watching, then doing
Learns sports easily; likes competitive sports [i don't care much for sports as such, especially competitive ones. whenever i become involved in sports it is for the pleasant and invigorating physical activity, or the stress relief, but not the competition]
May get others' feelings confused with own [and may get own feelings confused with each other and be unable to identify them for what they are]
Talkative one-on-one; uncomfortable speaking in groups; asks lots of questions
May have trouble listening to prolonged, fast, or abstract speech
Sensitive to voice tone [in the wrong way - i'm very receptive to fluctuations in intonation, but i may not readily understand the reason behind them. i can sense that something is "off" while talking to a friend, but assume that it was myself who may have done/said something i shouldn't have and become worried, whereas in reality she was simply tired or preoccupied with some problems of her own]
KAV: competent doer
Acts logically; likes working with hands
Connects best by doing, touching [that, and observing]
Organizes in piles
Learns easily by doing or discussion
Can articulate emotions and body sensations [absolutely not]
Good at storytelling, teaching movement and activities [fine with engaging in physical activities on my own, but doing so in a group or teaching them to others is one huge "no"; could be good at storytelling only in a very relaxed, intimate setting, with an old friend whom i feel comfortable with, and when extremely enthusiastic about the topic - and there are numerous other conditions to be met, e.g. i would have to have had enough sleep, to feel physically well and not stressed out, my caffeine intake has to be just right, etc.]
Sees the whole of things [often, but sometimes some random detail will rivet my attention and i will become too absorbed in that]
May have problems with reading, writing [i really enjoy both, but often lack the required attentiveness]
"Eye shy"; cannot maintain eye contact
KVA: perpetual student
Acts logically; likes to do things
Connects best by doing, touching
Organizes in piles
Learns easily by doing and watching
Many diverse interests (like drawing and scuba diving)
Can attend details and "big picture" simultaneously; sees pictures in 3-D, from many perspectives
Difficulty expressing feelings in words
Speech may have long pauses, go in circles; asks lots of questions; may have difficulty verbalizing abstractions
Rarely speaks in groups
Sensitive to voice tone
