NTs do that?!
Analysis paralysis, though I would expect an SP to say that.

You don't have to see/feel God's existence to understand the concept of God though.
People are just being lazy/ineffective at explaining this concept.
I agree, and that has been my frustration with the whole thing, every time I think I get it, someone explains it in a way that makes me go "what? But I thought..."
Seriously, just start here. You only have to read the first few posts to get the concept. If you don't, well... then I dunno.
Maybe you can be mine, Del, we'll figure it out together .
Regarding the concept/definition of a mindmate: you'll know it when it hits you. There's not always a good way to generalize or provide a synopsis of something that's so very personal on a forum. It will vary from person to person in the way it was defined, but if it happens, you'll know because it will seriously fuck with your mind.

The term "mindmates" is used in Kiersey's Please Understand Me II. IIRC, it's like the conception of how each type best relates in a relationship and expresses LOVE.
He also uses:
* Artisan Playmate
* Idealist Soulmate
* Guardian Helpmate
The concept of the Mindmate may just be the NT version of romance.
Some take a more practical approach, and only look for a butt-buddy.The term "mindmates" is used in Kiersey's Please Understand Me II. IIRC, it's like the conception of how each type best relates in a relationship and expresses LOVE.

I have heard that, I still don't see the difference between that, and being in love then?

It's overrated. *yawn*^ That's just finding someone else like you. I guess that doesn't happen very often for NTs. Maybe that's why they make such a big deal of it.
Do they get it though? There are several different definitions here. I don't think everyone is talking about the same thing. That's why I was pressing for a common definition - seems there isn't one. Ergo, there is no such thing.
Have a read of the synesthesia thread. It's hard for non-syns to really understand what it's like for syns or for syns to put it into words, but synesthesia does exist, with research to back it up.
