I've had some trouble figuring out my type. I almost always test INTP and I find that it describes me with some accuracy, but I have some doubts about the truth of the matter.
E vs I
I have always avoided crowds and prefer being by myself rather than with others, but I've come to realize that this is usually because of the people rather than myself. I just don't find conversations with most people interesting or worth my time. I'm not saying most people aren't intelligent, spending time with them simply isn't fun. I've met a few cool people in my life, many of whom were introverts, and I seemed to want socialization with them more than they wanted socialization with me, which is why I doubt I'm an introvert. If I lived in an island where everyone was an extremely intelligent, open-minded, socialist then I'd be the most extroverted person in the world.
N vs S
I am almost certainly an N. I enjoy concepts and ideas instead of concrete facts. There is no way I am an S.
T vs F
I have a very logical thinking process and I notice patterns everywhere. Graphs, shapes, and symbols fly through my head whenever I think. I'm not very emotional either. I never cry and usually laugh at overly-dramatic people. I almost never get offended at anything and am usually on the offending side, especially on the internet. However, I tend to get frustrated easily and become emotional in those situations. A couple of weeks ago I had an argument with a creationist and in the middle of a debate I just broke down and started half-screaming expletives and offending their intelligence. I ended by saying that religion is a regressive force in society and that religious worship should be illegal. Obviously, I dont' believe that but I nevertheless said it in the heat of the moment.
Something else that makes me doubt my T is that I have a very keen sense of other people's motivations and emotions at any given time. I can see right through others. I don't know if this is an F thing or a T thing, since finding out people's moods is sort of a logical process.
P vs J
I am very disorganized, am a huge procrastinator, and my room is extroardinarily messy. This points towards me being a P, but I also am impatient with other people; the creationist debate is an example. It seems like I have the worst aspects of both P and J at the same time. I also tend to arrive early to interviews, but I'm not sure that's a very big factor...
Functions
I would rate my functions in this order:
Ni, Ne and Ti, Fi, Te, Si, Fe, Se.
My understanding of Ni is that it "recycles" ideas and concepts and uses them to help understand another concept, sort of like I used "recycle" in this very sentence. I do this constantly; I learned about dissipation, for example, in economics and I immedeately made the connection with physics, which helped me understand the concept much better. This also happens with every-day activities as well. If that's wrong, then Ni is definately not first on the list.
Ne and Ti are virtually tied. None of them overpower the other.
Closing
Anyway, please help me find my type. Thanks. This was sort of poorly written since I was in a hurry, so let that not distract you from the subject matter.
edit: recessive vs regressive
