What do you think my Socionics type is?
EDIT: I tagged people who I think know some stuff about socionics. You don't have to comment if you don't want to.
Personal concepts
1. What is beauty? What is love?
Beauty: physical or nonphysical? I guess I’ll divide them.
Physical beauty: Wait I actually don’t know. I can’t explain why I like how some things look and why I don’t like others. If it has purple then I’ll probably like it. Idk.
Nonphysical beauty: When something means something to me.
I have a hard time explaining why things are beautiful.
Love: I’m not sure about romantic love, but I define platonic love by not wanting to lose them (either to death or them leaving). I always care about the people I love. Similar interests are not required, but it does help the relationship.
2. What are your most important values?
Idk what you mean by values, so I just listed things that are important to me.
Creativity: I view creativity as a means of solving problems, and that is necessary if the human race is to progress. And without creativity I feel like I would be easily replaced because I wouldn’t have anything unique to offer the world.
Productivity: Also important for progress. Lol we would literally die if we couldn’t be productive. I need to work on being more productive though (even thought I highly value it).
Knowledge: I feel like this is self-explanatory, but people would do stupid things without accurate knowledge.
Kindness: The world would suck if everyone was mean all the time
Independence: I really don’t trust people to control every aspect of my life. I have some ideas (wouldn’t call them plans since they are not fleshed out) with what I want to do in my life, and I hope to achieve them (for lack of a better word).
3. Do you have any sort of spiritual/religious beliefs, and why do you hold (or don't) those beliefs in the first place?
I’m pretty agnostic when it comes to this stuff. I don’t follow a religion. I think reincarnation is possible, but there is no proof so I can’t be 100% sure. And I can think of arguments for both sides, so I just can’t know. Part of me wonders if my desire for another life is clouding this.
4. Opinion on war and militaries? What is power to you?
I really don’t like war because it kills innocent people who had nothing to do with it. If war only killed people who volunteered themselves then I would be more okay with it. I know that’s not how modern warfare works, it’s all about power and stuff. I’m not sure if I am credible to express my opinion since I don’t know much about war, politics, economics, ect, but I wish there was a nonviolent way to settle international disputes. However I do think it’s important for a nation to be able to defend themselves, so I’m not 100% against it. Though I wish we didn’t need to defend.
Idk what power is. Maybe it’s being able to get what I want??
Interests
5. What have you had long conversations about? What are your interests? Why?
The longest conversation I’ve had was about anime, and the character development in it.
Interests:
Anime: Idk why. The stories are interesting (at least the ones I watch). I got into because my sister told me to watch it, and I found other animes on tumblr.
Typology: I think it’s thought provoking, and it’s interesting how it changed some of my world view. It influenced me to think more conceptually, and pay for attention to patterns.
Writing: I need some way to communicate my ideas.
6. Interested in health/medicine as a conversation topic? Are you focused on your body?
Not really since most people I know don’t know shit about health. I feel like I’m focused on my body. I don’t forget to eat and stuff like other people claim to (okay maybe sometimes, but that is rare). I try to eat healthy foods, and exercise (been slacking on that though).
7. What do you think of daily chores?
I don’t like them, but they need to be done. My sister and I take turns doing the laundry since we share a laundry basket. Currently my parents don’t make me do many chores for some reason. In fact I volunteered to do the laundry since my parents kept losing everything. I feel like I should learn how to cook, but I’m too afraid to ask. I have plans for how I’m going to organize stuff if they ever tell me to do the dishes though.
8. Books or films you liked? Recently read/watched or otherwise. Examples welcome.
Books:
The Monstumologist by Rick Yancy
The Night Circus by Erin Morganstein
The Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfield.
Films:
Inception: Very thought provoking and creative.
Zootopia
Tangled
Anime/manga:
Black Butler
Hunter X Hunter
Durarara
9. What has made you cry? What has made you smile? Why?
Stress has made me cry. Sad or even happy moments in movies songs make me cry. I almost cried when my sister me her online boyfriend in real life. I have no idea why.
Someone telling me to take a picture has made me smile. Jk (not really though). I smile when I think something is funny or when I’m excited.
10. Where do you feel: at one with the environment/a sense of belonging?
I have never felt “at one with the environmentâ€.
Evaluation & Behaviour
11. What have people seen as your weaknesses? What do you dislike about yourself?
idk what people think my weakness are. People tell me I worry too much, and am too cautious.
I dislike that that I’m lazy, and I suck at multitasking.
I hate that I’m a slow thinker and it takes me a while to make decisions and do things.
12. What have people seen as your strengths? What do you like about yourself?
My mom has this strange idea that I make a good leader?? My youngest sister thinks I’m good at planning/dealing with emergency situations (I think she mistook preparation as in the moment emergency action since I don’t think I’m good at acting in the moment during a crisis).
I like that I have a good memory. I really don’t think I’m especially good at anything else. I sometimes have good ideas.
13. In what areas of your life would you like help?
I would like help adulting lol (I think most young adults go through this though).
I would like someone to motivate me to do things. I feel like I don’t get much done if left alone.
14. Ever feel stuck in a rut? If yes, describe the causes and your reaction to it.
Yeah. I get stuck in a rut when I worry about everything, and then I get paralyzed and won’t do much of anything.
People & Interactions
15. What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
Like:
When people are funny
When we share interests and are able to have interesting conversations
I know I must like more things, but I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head.
Dislike:
When people can’t stick to a decision
When people don’t look at the root of the problem (or they think correlation always equals causation)
When people don’t specify what they want and get mad at me for not guessing correctly
15. What qualities do you most like and dislike in other people? What types do you get along with?
By types to do mean you mbti/enneagram/socionics? Well that’s the only way I know how to type people so that’s what you get.
Literally everyone I know who has taken the test scored INFP, so I definitely don’t hate them. I feel like I can get along fine with anyone in a school setting, but living with people can make us butt heads. When I was little I hardly got a long with my youngest sister (she got INFP on the test, but she is only 14, so I think she could be any F type).
16. How do you feel about romance/sex? What qualities do you want in a partner?
I have never had a romantic or sexual relationship, and I currently don’t want one. But I feel like I would take it very seriously if I were in one though.
17. If you were to raise a child, what would be your main concerns, what measures would you take, and why?
My main concern would be them not dying. I should not be a parent because I would worry about them 24/7, and probably die of heart attack before their 10th birthday. I don’t know how I would deal with this, and don’t really want to know.
Education would be the next biggest concern. Well actually learning in general. I would want to make them have a natural love of learning, but I wouldn’t like give them reading flashcards or anything (unless that’s what parents are doing nowadays).
I have no clue how I would go about disciplining them. That sounds like one of the more difficult parts of parenting.
Idk, I’m barley an adult, so this will probably change (if I ever want kids that is).
18. A friend makes a claim that clashes with your current beliefs. What is your inward and outward reaction?
Outowrd: I would probably not say anything unless I was 99% sure my view was correct or if I was extremely comfortable with them.
Inward: I would maybe think of why they were wrong, and see if I should change my views. If their point still didn’t convince me then I would wonder how they got to their point.
19. Describe your relationship to society. How do you see people as a whole? What do you consider a prevalent social problem? Name one.
I’m not sure what my relationship is to society. I don’t feel like I fit in perfectly, but I don’t feel alienated either. Right now I’m just trying to find my place in the world.
I like humanity as a whole and hope they do well.
I think oppression of marginalized groups is one of the biggest social problems.
20. How do you choose your friends and how do you behave around them?
I don’t really choose my friends. They just talk to me and I talk to them. For me friendship revolves around interesting conversation.
21. How do you behave around strangers?
I usually don’t say anything especially when I’m at school or with family, but there are times where I will be quite talkative. That is rare and the stranger usually the one who initiates the conversation.
