Just an excerpt from my poetic novel: I Have Issues, With Life.

It Is Good To Be Emo Sometimes
Ian W.

My mind is both my prison,
And my salvation,
It rescues me from ennui,
And sends me spiraling back,
At the slightest lack of provocation,
For where there are no problems,
There are no answers,
And there is nothing to be thought about,
So,
It is good to be emo sometimes,
And to write in horrific prose,
Because emo people make problems,
Even ones that don't exist,
Farewell ennui,
Farewell.

*suspects INTJ is trying to simulataneously mock NFs and get the more oblivious ones to fall in love with him*

It's a French word that roughly translates to boredom, but ennui is like a deeper, more pervasive state of boredom and meaninglessness.
