EmDrive Is an Engine That Breaks the Laws of Physics and Could Take Us to Mars

Scientists were slow to warm up to the EmDrive since it violates the law of the conservation of momentum. In addition to not being sure why it works — current theories rely on quantum mechanics — scientists also have some pretty good ideas why it shouldn't work.
This is so cool. It sounds similar to the idea of using solar sails.

Has NASA Confirmed The “Impossible” No-Fuel Space Engine Works?

“Test results indicate that the RF [radio frequency] resonant cavity thruster design, which is unique as an electric propulsion device, is producing a force that is not attributable to any classical electromagnetic phenomenon and, therefore, is potentially demonstrating an interaction with the quantum vacuum virtual plasma,” the NASA team wrote in a study presented last Wednesday during the 50th Joint Propulsion Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
What the heck is a quantum vacuum virtual plasma? It sounds like they are saying that space isn't nothingness, that there is something that makes up space.

Space is not nothingness, Space is chock-a-block full of dark energy. And dark energy is accelerating the expansion of Space.

And if this is not enough, Space is full of virtual particles coming into existence and going out of existence in a trice.

They say you can't create something out out of nothing but just this is occurring around us and in us at this very moment.

Would dark energy annihilate light energy? or a better question, could there be a parallel universe where life has adapted to complete darkness?

Dark energy accelerates the expansion of space, or to be a little more accurate, space/time. And dark energy can accelerate space/time faster than the speed of light, so after many billions of years, light coming from other galaxies will not be faster enough to reach us, and so the light from other galaxies will disappear for us. And we will be left alone in a dark universe.

And hey, we don't have to go to a parallel universe to find adaption to complete darkness. For on the Great Nullabor Plain at the head of the Great Australia Bight we find deep, long underground limestone caves full of the most crystal clear water in complete darkness. And life in this crystal water, and on the walls of the caves, has no need of eyes, and so is adapted to complete darkness.

Really interesting. From what i understood, the engine seems to take virtual particles that pop in and out of existence all the time everywhere and use microwaves to turn them into plasma(quantum vacuum virtual plasma) that pushes the ship towards. From my current understanding on the topic, the virtual particles arise from quantum fluctuation in vacuum(vacuum needs energy to keep it together) and this vacuum energy is basically utilized via microwaves(which people havent been able to do before, but which is really profound, because some theories say that this sort of mechanism is what gave rise to the universe in the first place). This sort of technology(if it works properly and is learned to control more profoundly) would have other important implications than just space travel.

I hope it is true, but let's wait for more experiments to confirm that it is not simply a fluke.

Sails are fragile, slow and hard to implement
