    Elizabeth Bennett

And am I the only one who noticed this and was bothered by it?
In closing, we'll ask you the ultimate female literary charcter question we've already asked you like a billion times...love, or money???
Seems to suggest that female literary characters are only concerned with relationships- either love or marriage for status. If it was male characters they would be thinking about actions, adventures, ideas, battles, etc. True, historically women didn't have much in the way of options in these areas, but this is a problem and should be more reflected in literature. Ideally. Maybe it wasn't possible. But it bothers me anyway. Ok, I'm off the soapbox now.

I guess this is why I don't read these sorts of novels. I'd rather read about biology or something.

Females have plenty of action/adventure within the sci-fi/fantasy genre, at least.
