Hi, I'm an ENFP with a tritype of 458. I've heard nothing about this combination, and wanted to hear some opinions. It honestly makes a lot of things make sense for me- why I wasn't like my other ENFP friends and why I was so Te- heavy while retaining my Fi. I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place, but I didn't know where else to go. Thoughts?

Hi, oceanica, though not too common in ENFPs, 4 as core does happen in plenty. However, the rest of your tritype will also affect what you come across as.

Try looking up the tritype videos, either on Youtube, or if unavailable there, on official Enneagram pages for the 458 tritype. There should be something out there. The 8 fix would add weight to your Te.

A few potentially helpful links with descriptions of this particular tritype, you may need to scroll down:

Type 4 - Enneagram

4 isn't an entirely uncommon core for ENFP, and plenty of ENFPs have 8 as their gut-fix (more so than 1, anyway, though perhaps not as much as 9.) The 5 is the uncommon part; 5 is a very non-ENFP fix to have. But that doesn't mean you don't have a 5-fix! You might just be a bit less scrappy than the rest of us :newwink:

Definitely agree with Dorito about the 8 accounting for your Te. I have an 8-fix as well and I like to think I have pretty strong Te for an ENFP. (Key word is "like," but that's another story ;) )

Enneagram and MBTI combinations can be strange. I'm farly sure I'm either an ENFP 6w7 9w1 3w4 or an ENFP 6w7 9w1 4w3. I often feel very different from most 6s actually, and I think my 6 tendencies cause me to have a bit stronger Si than the average ENFP.

ENFPs are a contradictory bunch, and no one sees this better than ENFPs. Plus, we aren't cardboard cutouts of our types. Everyone is going to come from a different background, which will also impact how they are showing up. For example, you could have 3 ENFPs who might seem different because they grew up in different cultures and/or time periods.
