INTPs are renown for telling the ugly truth of things many others don't want to hear or in inappropriate situations. So let's hear it. What "truths" have you been hiding that you've been afraid to tell the world?

Disclaimer: Truth is largely defined by one's own believes and perception. So the title is a pun. What I'm after is unpopular opinions that you strongly believe in.

All types are welcome to post as well. Let's just make sure no judging happens here even if what they're saying is not agreeable. That's the point of this thread.

I'll start:
1. There are indeed scums in this world that is better off dead than kept alive to save on diminishing resources.
2. Human beings need a certain degree of stress to live, otherwise they will feel aimless. The struggles become guidelines to how people should act. A perfect world of zero disaster, will only drive the human race insane.
3. Logically made decisions will always have a higher chance to function better as oppose to emotionally made decisions.
4. No one can truly atone for their sins because history cannot be changed.
5. Friendship and love is overrated. not everyone needs them.
6. Arguments are the most efficient way to gain mutual understanding.
7. If you feel like the world is against you, then you probably should reflect on yourself first. Most likely you are the one at fault.
8. No matter how empathetic you are, you can never truly share someone's pain.
9. Your problems are not my problems. You cannot blame me for not caring about your problems, and you should always be appreciative when I do.
10. No one is obligated to do anything for another person, no matter what your relationship is with that person is. Always be thankful for the things others do for you.
11. One doesn't need a goal in life to have a meaningful life. Wealth, fame and glory are overrated. True satisfaction comes from within. It is a meaningful life if you are satisfied with the way you live and no one else has the right to tell you otherwise.
12. Is the glass half empty or half full? Well it depends how thirsty I am. Level of optimism is always subjected to the current situation. Motivational quotes are all empty without substance.

Ugly "Truths" always seem to tell half the story.
And they do tell half.
But typically only half.

... it's funny how that works.

I read this as: "The Hate Thread". Here go mine:

1. Would it be an ugly truth that I tell the ugly truth to everyone, never considering their feelings?
2. I hate humans. All of them, especially the ones I get to see/talk to. No, especially the ones that tend to navigate in life without wondering about anything.
3. I believe spending time to suffer because of/be concerned about broken nails, bad haircuts, clothes, crushes, bad TV programs, sports, etc is wasting it, and wasting the only life we have; I refuse to do it and if someone sees me doing that, please shoot me.
4. Neofeminists' (not the ones from the 1920s) aggressiveness makes me feel ashamed of my gender.
5. People who feel too much for everything make me nervous.
6. I'm a frustrated anarchist.
7. I only give advice if it interests me at the moment. Or if it makes people shut up.
8. Parents and relatives in general are meant to be respected ONLY if they earned it. "Blood" relationships mean nothing if they're not based on respect.
9. Having said that, I only respect people who respect me and respect themselves. The same with politics and religion: live and let live.
10. If you're wrong, you need someone to correct you (of course, as long as it is something that can be proved).
11. I completely abhor labels of all types (ethnicity, politics, religion, "hipster", "geek", "freak", "nerd", "emo", etc etc etc). Why can't one be just... THEMSELVES? Why do people need so much to belong? Quoting my INTJ father, "if everybody learned that EVERYBODY is different, we wouldn't need to talk about inclusive education".

That's all for today, tomorrow I'll prbably have new ones.

Btw, Coffee_Yum I agree with your list, except for #7, because I believe odds can make a person have "bad luck", as in a ton of undesirable things happening to them. It might have to do with ineptitude to control some things that could be avoided, but not all that happens to individuals depends solely on what they do/don't do. I also "half" agree with #8, because I'm not very empathetic, so my first thought was: "why would I want to feel someone's pain? I can understand something without feeling it (the fact that I think it is stupid or not is another question)"

ugly truth
It would make more sense to call them unpopular opinions. I'm not going to disagree with anything people are writing in this thread because they're entitled to think whatever they want, but there's hardly any objective truth to a subjective opinion.

My "ugly truth"/unpopular opinion confession is: I'm not obligated to do jack shit for someone just because we're family. And I don't need any reason other than "I don't feel like it right now."

This Bahama Mama smoothie tastes so good it's an ugly truth because other people can't handle this goodness right now.

I don't think bulldogs, pugs or monkeys are cute. I try to embrace their cuteness but my cuddle gene is not activated by them.

They are....."Ugly Floofs"

OP, most of those were just negativistic crap...

Truth is not to be found in words, rather the meaning of words is interpreted relative to whoever is receiving them.

Happiness is just one emotion, and sadness and anger are two others, and none of them are truly "better", they are just different. In fact, pain and pleasure are only different because of the meanings associated with them, where pain means "stop this, put an end to this!".

No one can really "change the world" on their own. In fact, all one really has control over is how one reacts to a given situation at a given time. Whether one's actions impact the world around one in a given way is not due to the well-timed act of an individual, but is simply the environment being activated, like pushing over the first domino - anyone could have pushed it over really, all the individual did was make a "push" movement.

There are no "supreme" and infallible rules which one can cling to in deciding how one lives. In fact, the best rule is not to follow rules but to go with what one wants to do anyway, and avoid doing what one wishes not to do, no matter how much the environment says to to otherwise - and one should follow one's one Will even if it means death.

Whenever one has the choice between two options, the best option is always a third.

I've edited the OP with a disclaimer. I guess I could've been a little clearer but I thought it would be more fun not to explain fully. What good's a joke if one needs to tell others it's a joke after telling it? Maybe it was a bad joke on my part. Anyway guys don't get too serious.

Donald Trump's outwardly is an ESTP I reckon.

He's either ESTP or ENTJ... I think it should be clear which - he fits a certain mold I have in mind - but I'm not sure whether that particular mold goes by the name of ESTP or ENTJ. All I can say is that I very much like certain elements of his philosophy on life. I'd vote for him! ;)

(it's possible that the mold I am thinking of is simply enneagram 8? I think it is an MBTI type too though...)

8. Parents and relatives in general are meant to be respected ONLY if they earned it. "Blood" relationships mean nothing if they're not based on respect.

I remember getting the shits telling this to my parents at my teenage years. Can't agree more.

Trump seems more like and ESTJ to me. But, I'm not going to pretend like I know enough about the man to play MBTI parlor tricks then say that I'm certain of it.
