I didn't realize until my thirties how important posture is. It affects a wide variety of health factors ranging from digestion to concentration.

I've been experiencing cervical spinal problems, which means it's time to research and troubleshoot.

Unexpectedly, I experienced improved mental clarity and cognitive functioning during decompression exercises. To be certain I wasn't imagining things, I turned to the internet for information — as usual. Increased blood circulation and pain relief can improve focus, mental clarity, and psychological symptoms. I will be implementing decompression into my yoga exercises from now on. In addition, I am going to invest in some items that can help during sleep.

Since mental health is a challenge for many, I will share interesting or surprising information periodically as I study and learn. Others are welcome to do the same.

I will begin physical therapy for this and knee alignment pains next week, so I will deprioritize independent study until I am inspired by the surface-level information from P.T.

The less I have to tackle solo, the better. I feel overwhelmed as it is. I can't continue to be an autodidactic D.I.Y. physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, nutritionist/dietician, social justice lawyer, public service lawyer, ADA/employer/housing disability discrimination lawyer, and others. Now that the Trump administration is changing everything so rapidly, it's even harder.

I'm only one person. Prioritizing is necessary.

It turned out to be muscle tension. The knots were so severe that my circulation was restricted, nerves were pressured, and I was unable to correct my posture because my mobility was limited. Dry needling resolved the problems.

FAQ: No, it's not acupuncture.
