So I have some Ikea bed slats I'm looking to sell (they were the wrong size and returning them wasn't an option). What are the sites people like to use for selling things? I'm looking for an alternative to Amazon.

There's ebay, which seems to be a common one

Facebook Marketplace

I will just say that FB Marketplace is full of flaky people and the listings aren't always transparent in terms of something being faulty. 😞

Bed slats sound like a pain in the ass to ship and costly...that's why I don't like ebay or etsy platforms for that type of item. Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace sounds like a better fit because the advertisement can be tailored to a local audience and avoids the shipping hassle. If you were looking to start an online store, then Ebay would work better, especially if the items are lightweight and easy to package but just to move some bed slats, I'd go for more local. Personally, I've had no problems selling stuff on Craigslist. There's no overhead, the ads are free and the platform does not take a piece of your action. FB Marketplace is probably the same though I have no firsthand experience to speak from

eBay, craigslist, Amazon for conventional products.

Unless you are selling a car or boat, I think, on Craigslist. Then it's $5 for the ad.

I was looking to sell them to people in my city, really. It's big enough that I might be able to pull it off.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions everyone!

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery, and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late

And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
And who would've thought? It figures

Mr. Play-It-Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down
He thought, "Well, isn't this nice?"

And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
And who would've thought? It figures

Well, life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out
When you think everything's gone wrong
And everything blows up in your face

It's a traffic jam when you're already late
A "No smoking" sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife

And isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?
A little too ironic
And yeah, I really do think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
And who would've thought? It figures

And yeah, life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
And life has a funny, funny way of helping you out
