1) Context:

a) What is your age range and general location (Country so that cultural values can be taken into account)? Do you have any impairments that may affect the way that you answer this questionnaire? Any religious or political beliefs (or anything else along those lines) that also might have an effect?

20’s, female, usa.

b) Which types are you currently considering? Why are you considering them and why haven’t you decided on one?

mbti: infp or enfp. I could be an enfp because I was quite outgoing when I was younger. I could be an infp because i tend to fi si loop. Enneagram, considering 9w1, tritype and instinct stacking unsure.

2) What do you deem as your purpose in life?

I haven’t identified one specific purpose in my life but I strive to be at peace with myself and my life.

3) Of the seven deadly sins, which one(s) do you relate to the most and the least and why?

I relate the most to sloth because I am procrastinator and often put things off until the last minute. I relate the least to envy.

4) Analyzing your relationships with others, briefly describe:

a) The type of people you are drawn to

I don’t have a specific type of person I am drawn to. I’m drawn to people that I find interesting and want to connect with them.

b) The type of people who are drawn to you

I can’t narrow down a specific type of person who is drawn to me.

c) The type of people you are repulsed by

I’m don’t like people who are overly cynical, obnoxious, and cruel.

5)What are the traits in others that you admire but you cannot emulate yourself? Elaborate.

I admire people who are assertive and go after what they want. Too much of my life has been realizing that I didn’t accomplish what I wanted to do until it was too late.

6) Describe your relationship with the following:

a) Anger

I tend to withdraw from others when I am angry because I know I will lash out or say something that I will regret. I don’t show my anger to others.

b) Shame

I try not to talk about or reveal a lot of information about myself because I do feel ashamed of myself and that I’m not who I could be or should be.

c) Fear

I wouldn’t consider myself overly fearful. I do have fears about putting myself out there and being rejected or mocked by others.

d) Love/passion

I fantasize about being in a fulfilling, passionate relationship. I have high standards and I feel like no one is ever as good as the fantasies that I have in my head.

e) Conflict

I often try to avoid conflict at all costs. But now I realize that conflict occurs even in healthy relationships and it’s not something that can be totally avoid. I’m trying not to be as conflict avoidant.

7) What are some of the themes that have played a prominent role in your life (ie. A struggle you’ve been unable to conquer, ect)?

Feeling like I’m not accepted by others, feeling like people don’t like me as much as they could. Feeling like I don’t belong or fit in with others/society. Failing to take control of my life and going after what I want.

9) When meeting a new person, what do you tend to focus on?

I tend to focus on how well we connect, whether our interaction seems awkward, do they seem interested in me, do they like me, etc.

10) How do you feel about humanity as a whole? What do you feel are some of the biggest problems the human race faces and why?

I don’t think humanity is inherently bad but I don’t humanity is inherently good, either. I think climate change is the biggest problem facing humanity currently.

11) What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy reading, drawing, spending time outdoors. I wish I had more time to devote to my artistic hobbies.

13) How do you usually hang out with your friend(s)? When answering, think about what activities you tend to choose, whether you hang out with one person at once or many, whether or not you initiate the interaction.

When I hang out with my friends, I like to be doing an activity (going out to eat, seeing a movie, doing something fun). I’m not big on just going to someone’s house and just sitting around (though sometimes I don’t mind). I enjoy one to one interactions and interacting in a group equally. Though sometimes being a group can be sort of overwhelming.

14) What is more important, actions or words? Why?

I think actions are more important than words. It’s one thing to say something, it’s a different thing to actually do it.

15) Oh dear, you’ve been cursed by a witch! It’s ok though, you get a choice on which curse you will receive. Will you choose?

I would choose to be immortal because that way I would have enough time to do all the things I want to do, see everything I want to see.

16) What do you hope to avoid being? If it helps, describe a person who embodies what you avoid/you as a villain, ect.

I want to avoid being a boring, uninteresting person. I also want to avoid being cruel and spiteful.

18) Organized or messy? Plans and blueprints or impulse and surprises? What are you preferences and tendencies?

In certain aspects of my life I am completely organized, in others I am messy. I like to have an idea of what I am getting myself into but can easily adapt if any surprises arise.

9w1 seems spot on for your core.

Why did you skip 17? (It's okay that you did, I am just curious as to why.)

There's a lot of rejection triad here in your answers (of which 9 isn't), so I'd guess that you've either got a 2 or 5 in your tritype. My best guess from this is 95x thus far.

I skipped 17 because I wasn’t sure of how to answer but I thought about it and here it is:

17) How do you relate to obsession? Do you tend to "merge" with others or your interests? How do you feel about the idea of doing this?

When I was younger I used to get obsessed with things or people but now I don’t get all consuming obsessions. In regards to “merging”, I don’t think that I “merge” with others or my interests. Sometimes I unconsciously “merge” but I don’t realize that I am doing this. The idea of “merging” with another person sounds nice in fantasy but often doesn’t translate to real life.

Interesting that you see a lot of rejection in my answers, I always thought that I was more frustration. But rejection is something to consider especially since I talk a lot about feeling rejected by other people (which I always chalked up to social but who knows). I haven’t considered 2 or 5 fixes but it is something to think about.

more questions I answered

Do you feel understood?

No, I do not feel understood or seen at all. I feel like people don’t see the real me but also has to do with how much I “hide” myself from others.

How do you deal with loneliness?

Try to forget about it.

Do you place importance on being attractive to others?

Yes I like to be considered attractive in the eyes of others and myself.

What is your relationship with time?

I feel like time is running out, I wish I could control it.

In my opinion, the wing on our core type is very important, so you may be getting a lot of frustration from your w1. I may have been too quick to suggest 5, however.

b) Shame

I try not to talk about or reveal a lot of information about myself because I do feel ashamed of myself and that I’m not who I could be or should be.

Who do you think you should be? (or if there's a way that all people should be?)

How do you deal with anxiety?

Do you find more comfort in being alone at home or out in the world doing things?

I thought that 5 fix was a really interesting suggestion and I have been exploring it some more, especially how 5 is filtered through 9. I definitely think that I am double withdrawn.
Who do you think you should be? (or if there's a way that all people should be?)
I don’t think that there is a way that all people should be but for myself, I wish that I was more exciting or interesting. I feel like there’s not much to mention when talking about myself so that’s why I feel more comfortable turning the conversation towards other people.
How do you deal with anxiety?
There are a few ways i deal with anxiety. One way is that I freeze up and try to withdraw from the situation. Another is that I try to ignore what is making me anxious or tell myself it’s not that big of a deal. If I need reassurance, I will turn to other people to see what is the right thing to do.
Do you find more comfort in being alone at home or out in the world doing things?
When I was younger I was very outgoing and extroverted but when I was a teen, I started to withdraw into my own little world and sort of stayed there. I wish I could put myself out there more but I do find more comfort in being alone at home.

There's so much 9 in your answers, it's hard for me to see past it.

Double withdrawn sounds very reasonable, probably not triple withdrawn since you have been more outgoing in the past. 947 or 946 seem like good possibilities, if 4 feels more accurate to you for your heart center, with 7 feeling more likely because you do seem more positive outlook than reactive. Or 952 or 962 (not double withdrawn, though). 3 doesn't seem as likely to be your heart center, as you don't seem to be motivated as much by assertively meeting what others consider you 'should' be. There's a lot of poor descriptions of 4 out there (many describe 9 and 6 rather than 4), and if you have 4, it's going up be filtered through 9 anyway, and have a lot of 9 influence.

For instincts, I think I'd keep going with so/sx, as I first guessed in your collage thread, with your sp being very healthy for being last. Sp/so and sx/sp at this point wouldn't seem really weird, because you do seem rather balanced instinctually (which is a really healthy thing!)

Sorry that I'm not more helpful.

No you have been really helpful, thank you 💗 this has caused me to really think about my type, fixes, etc and they might present (like I wasn’t expecting to have a 5 fix suggested but thinking about it, it does make sense). Pretty sure my heart fix is last because it’s the hardest for me to see.

Glad to hear that my instincts are pretty balanced. I know some enneagram enthusiasts claim that you have a blind spot that is absolute but I never felt that I was ever ‘blind’ or unaware of any of the instincts.

946 so/sx, why did you go reserved, you can be extroverted and withdrawn, the 6 is there due to your dislike of obnoxious, cruel, cynical people as if you're on your toes. I'm thinking that I may be an extrovert even though I stay at home most of the time, hanna from pretty little liars is a reserved esfp so it is possible. I view you as an interesting person that may to be too hard on themselves so maybe enfp.

I think part of why became so reserved and withdrawn was feeling rejected by other people. I’ve read a lot of enfps are very extroverted as children and become much less so as adults.

There's truth in that. I'm considering ENTP and I can relate with you said

here’s a description of the fi-si loop

During the loop, the INFP becomes hyper critical of past mistakes, reverting mostly to their inner morals and applying them to things which occurred in their past. They become nostalgic for these moments, sometimes glorifying people and relationships, and even blaming themselves for things which didn’t go right. During this time the INFP can really struggle with criticism and finds themselves feeling alienated from others.

this describes what I am currently going through perfectly

Okay, let's work on getting out of the loop :)

Some enneagram reflections

Almost certain that my core type is 9w1. Was going back and forth between 9w1 and 6w7, but I’m so 9 it’s embarrassing. Still undecided on fixes and instinct stacking. Pretty sure my head fix is second and my heart fix is last. I used to have an idea of what my fixes were and now I am completely unsure lol. I might answer some more questions and see if anything points me towards a certain way.

bolded what fits me, from enneagrammer
5-9: Withdrawn, invisible, making space for others, conceptual, passive

6-9: Tracking others/socially aware, “folk”, doubt, uncertainty, not pushing buttons but will fight back if necessary, humility, rabbit, glorifying "uniqueness" as something to celebrate, underdog, friendly, adaptable, "real life," humanity, defying labels and categories, seeing pieces of themselves in many types, "it depends on the situation"

7-9: Positive, light, fluid, changing, an amorphous rainbow, fairy-like, surrealism, mixtures and variety, jazz, free-flowing, playful language, distorted imagery, swirls

6: Being vigilant and double-checking, not straying too far from “others” in terms of who you are

5: Withholding all your energy from others to avoid the messy emotions that can drain your highly-sensitive system

7: Distracting yourself from harsh realities with fun and movement
