yes, it seems silly not to , but Id fire them in a heartbeat if they didn't do their job, piercing or no. I suppose I dont consider professional a look as much as an attitude if that makes sense...

It depends on the job. I wouldn't hire someone who had an eyebrow piercing to serve food in a restaurant because it can be super unappetizing, for example.

It is to me and I'm sure there are other people who view it that way as well. I say this as someone who had an eyebrow piercing when I was 16.

I don't have any piercings or tattoo and the like, and I barely notice this kind of thing in people in general. Now I'm curious as to why some people would lose their appetite because of it. Guess I'm gonna do some google research right now.

Me personally? I wouldn't give a shit. I can't think of one reason why having any piercing would interfere with (most) jobs. Unfortunately the rest of the working world doesn't always agree.

Elements we use to profile people aren't considered in a vacuum. An eyebrow ring with a bright smile and solid work references will be all but invisible, but an eyebrow ring and a face tattoo with sketchy references at best probably won't fly.

I don't care personally but if I interviewed someone in my line of work - I wouldn't (and probably couldn't due to hospital policy) hire them with a eyebrow piercing. It may be different in other areas of the hospital system but not in the HIM/IT department.

I work in tech and most successful people dress pretty casually and individualistic, so this is the norm. I'd hire him/her if they were competent and qualified for the job, and based solely on that alone.

Yeah, an eyebrow piercing is irrelevant to me.

Well, I've accidentally hired people who violated the company appearance code, usually by having hair that is too long. I've even hired one guy with a little face tattoo. I never do it on purpose, these are just things that I don't notice.

I've hired people with facial piercings but whenever I catch them, I inform them of the company code and ask if they're willing to take piercings out while they are working. As long as they say yes, then I can hire them.

I really don't care about piercings at all, would hire people regardless of how they looked if I were in charge of that dress codes.

Depends on the kind of business I was running. If it were like a Law Firm, yeah...no.
