Here is Herp's questionnaire:
1) What aspect of your personality made you unsure of your type? Intuition or Sensing? Thinking or feelings? I know there is more to it than that, but basically those is what confuses me about my personality. I normally get INFP but I think that type is to... "fairy-like" or whimsical stereotypically, I tend to be less vulnerable then the stereotypical INFP. I know I shouldn't look at the stereotypes but it feels more whimsy, whereas INTP or ISFP or ISTP is more gritty. I have a weird brain when it comes to connecting things with other things.
2) What do you yearn for in life? Why? I yearn a lot in life, but I want to be remembered for my successes and achievements. I've been through a lot in my life, stuff that I'm not going to talk about. I just want to do something that makes me happy, like writing a book or a picture that I've taken being shared like crazy. Stuff that can be remembered, but of course I know I can't get that big. I'm sure I can get big, but I don't want to be famous big. Just money big. That is one thing I will mention, I grew up in a poor household where I had to take care of everyone. I guess I just yearn for independence and my own success.
3) Think about a time where you felt like you were at your finest. Tell us what made you feel that way. When I got to college and was able to sit in the front lawn and finish everything I wanted to. That is when I finished all of my schoolwork, finished a few chapters of my book, wrote a scene of the book that I'm writing, and took pictures of everything because of how beautiful everything was. This made me happy because I finally had time to myself and able to do stuff that I've been meaning to do. When I hang around people, I tend to forget what I need to do and then I get frustrated when I didn't do it. So being by myself on the sun, smelling the trees, and watching people play football while listening to music really put me in my element.
4) What makes you feel inferior? The fact that I try to help people that doesn't want to be helped or refuse to change.
5) What tends to weigh on your decisions? (Do you think about people, pro-cons, how you feel about it, etc.) I tend to think about myself and the people that are closest to me when it comes to decisions that could potentially affect them. When it comes to things like "what college should I go to?", that is a pro-con thing. I'm general though, no matter what, my feelings has a great deal in it.
6) When working on a project what is normally your emphasis? Do you like to have control of the outcome? I tend to throw out ideas then if my big idea is in play, I'll lead and take suggestions. If my idea isn't in lead, I will work and hope that the leader will take ideas.
7) Describe us a time where you had a lot of fun. How is your memory? One time, we went up to the mountains and I took a picture of a mountain I was about to climb then I climbed it. At the top of the mountain, it took my breath away. Seeing the colors and the sun and just everything was so beautiful. I honestly don't know why this memory sticks out to me, it's just something that stuck out to me.
😎 When you want to learn something new, what feels more natural for you? (Are you more prone to be hands on, to theorize, to memorize,) When I learn something, I will learn it. So, I will do extensive research on it til the point where I become expert. If I'm wrong on something when talking about it, I will see how I read it wrong and analyze it. I learn best through hands on, though. I get distracted easily, so if I do something with my hands, then I will retain it better.
9) How organized do you to think of yourself as? When it comes to my room, you can tell that I'm, what my friends call me, an artist's personality. I work in a mess when it comes to my passions, but when it comes to actual schoolwork, I have to organize myself. I guess it's because I don't care enough for school work, but I know I need to do it, so it keeps me more focused if things around me are clean. I do organize myself about once a week if I'm not going through stress or mental stuff, if I am, I will stay a mess for a long time.
10) How do you judge new ideas? You try to understand the principles behind it to see if they make sense or do you look for information that supports it? I do an odd mix of both. It's hard to explain this one without confusing others, but I think people understand when I say I do a mix of both. I just think doing one or the other is not human while doing both is more human. Our minds are very odd, so it's never one or the other but a mix of both, even though it seems odd. It's just how complex we are.
11) You find harmony by making sure everyone is doing fine and belonging to a given group or by making sure that you follow what you believe and being yourself? What I believe in for sure. I have to do stuff for me, I learned that helping others more than yourself just leads to disappointment and depression. I do find some harmony and helping others, but only that satisfaction when they actually take my advise. When they don't, it use to stress me out, now I just shrug it off and go on with my life.
12) Are you the kind that thinks before speaking or do you speak before thinking? Do you prefer one-on-one communication or group discussions? For the most part, I think before I speak. When I'm pissed, I speak before thinking. I prefer one on one conversations over group discussions, but I can have group discussions. Just because if you can't do group discussions, it's harder to grow as a person.
13) Do you jump into action right away or do you like to know where are you jumping before leaping? Does action speaks more than words? I definitely would like to know what I'm jumping into. I use to just jump in to prove a point, but now I realize I don't need to prove a point to anyone because I need to stay me. Plus, I was super unhappy when I thought I had to prove a point to people when I didn't. Also I think actions and words show same level. I say that because look at abuse. Mental abuse hurts just the same as physical. Atleast that's how it was for me in general. Plus there is a lot of psychology for actions, they speak louder than words. They are equal, but there is a reason why someone would do something.
14) It's Saturday. You're at home, and your favorite show is about to start. Your friends call you for a night out. What will you do? I would feel obligated to go out, but it depends on what we would be doing and what all I did during the week. If I hung out with a lot of people, I would stay in, but if I didn't, I would click record on my show and go out with them. I learn to balance my social battery. I found that I liked to drain my social battery out then take a few days to charge it. Is that weird? I'm not exactly shy, but I am timid, I just cherish my alone time, but I also cherish hanging out with people (alone time over people though)
15) How do you act when you're stressed out? I will stop eating and get depressed. If it's over the top stress (which I learned to control) I would probably drink with some friends. But like I said, I did learn how to control it because I found most of my over the top stress is not balancing myself with my social life.
16) What makes you dislike the personalities of some people? Arrogance, contradicting, purposefully hypocritical (everyone is a hypocrite, but ones that know they are are annoying). The ones that think they are all of that. I could go on. It's basically people that are shallow and liars.
17) Is there anything you really like talking about with other people? Psychology, art in all aspects. Definitely the latter. I also like to hear about other people's passions and talk to them about that.
18) What kind of things do pay the least attention to in your life? Definitely politics. It just doesn't interest me. Stuff that just doesn't stimulate me, like math and non-aesthetic stuff. I can't really think of anything on the top of my head.
19) How do your friends perceive you? What is wrong about their perception? ? What would your friends never say about your personality ? They think I am a strong minded individual that knows what they want to do in life. They think that I'm ambitious and witty and observant. They also think that I'm always bubbly and happy. They aren't wrong with a lot of that, but me knowing what I want to do in life, well I do and I don't. I really want to, like I said earlier, become big money wise, but I know the reality behind all of that is.. it's really hard to be in the art world, so I have to do something else while the art has to be on the side. I'm also not always happy, I'm just bubbly to hide my true feelings. I have major anxiety and I get depressed. They don't even understand the reason why I'm so ambitious and strong minded because a lot of it has to do with how I grew up, which they don't need to know, they just need to know that perception. I like that perception. Somethings they would never say when talking about me is that I'm arrogant and reckless. They know that I think through things and know that I use a lot of introspection
. 20) You got a whole day to do whatever you like. What kind of activities do you feel like doing? Let's just say that I'm this reality, I have to do stuff, I can't just lay in bed and watch TV all day, which is what I would do. I would read, write in the book I'm writing, go out and take pictures (with or without or both, it doesn't matter), finish the paintings that I started, workout, finish my schoolwork, watch a movie, and if I'm really down for it, I would hang out with some friends/go to a party.
