Oh okay...I see what you're saying. I misunderstood your argument.
Mhm, you're fine dw, I still don't have much more to say because as I said, I'm not too interested in Van Gogh specifically, and I've given my perspective on the way I would approach typing him at least, even if I don't have a conclusion, and I'm also in the middle of Guitar Hero.

Haha, fair enough. I'm not too interested in the man's life either. It was a sad one. All that fame after death...but an absolute miserable life...is it really worth it?

Jung "Abstract sensation, on the other hand, immediately picks out the most salient sensuous attribute of the flower, as for instance its brilliant redness, and makes it the sole or at least the principal content of consciousness, entirely detached from all the other admixtures alluded to above.
Abstract sensation is mainly suited to the artist".

How would you explain him being an introverted feeling type and being an artist?
I don't see any correlation between both, but being artistic isn't just limited to IS:

Although in the normal type, the tendency, above alluded to, to overpower or coerce the object once openly and visibly with the thing secretly felt, rarely plays a disturbing role, and never leads to a serious attempt in this direction, some trace of it, none the less, leaks through into the personal effect upon the object, in the form of a domineering influence often difficult to define.

I don't think artistry is limited to introverted sensation but there are certain arts personalities are better suited for. There are millions of people who can draw very well but just don't sit around drawing all day because sensory experiences overload theme.

Jung believed that artistic abilities were the fruit of perception, while Feeling and Thinking are about reasoning.
It's not limited to the reasoning, to explain the essence of these both, we should take a look at Kairos/Logos/Pathos/Ethos but this'll just be another round-a-bout.
