I'm in desperate need of someone's help! People have typed as SEI, SLI, EII IEE and I don't know how many other things, I'm completely confused at this point:cry:

1) Context:
a) What is your age range and general location (Country so that cultural values can be taken into account)? Do you have any impairments that may affect the way that you answer this questionnaire? Any religious or political beliefs (or anything else along those lines) that also might have an effect?

I’m 24, from Italy. I probably have social anxiety. I don’t have any particular religious beliefs and I have a hard time relating to politics right now, but probably left-winged is how someone would define me?

b) Which types are you currently considering? Why are you considering them and why haven’t you decided on one?

I lean on the delta quadra’s types in general or alternatively SEI. I considered the delta quadra because probably it might describe well how I relate to other people, but as I said above, my social anxiety might make me seem more introverted than what I really am so I don’t rule out alpha quadra.

2) What do you deem as your purpose in life?

Having fun and doing pleasant things. Explore the world, know people. I don’t really have any specific dream like “I want to be an astronaut” or “I want 5 kids”, I just want to do whatever feels good at that given time.

3) Of the seven deadly sins, which one(s) do you relate to the most and the least and why?

Probably sloth (I’m lazy af), wrath (I don’t get angry often but when I do I completely lose it), pride (I don’t do many things because of my pride) and maybe lust.

4) Analyzing your relationships with others, briefly describe:
a) The type of people you are drawn to

I would like to get closer to funny and extroverted people, I like people who talk a lot and don’t need much effort from me to keep the conversation going. I really like optimistic people, always ready to do something.

b) The type of people who are drawn to you

That’s a good question lmao Actually, I don’t think they are drawn to me, but in general extroverted people try to befriend as many people as possible so it’s more likely they come after me instead of people who are more withdrawn.

c) The type of people you are repulsed by

Probably liars, or people who act like they’re the center of the universe.

5)What are the traits in others that you admire but you cannot emulate yourself? Elaborate.

I want to be sociable, able to talk with anyone, comfortable with groups because I don't really know how to do this well and I've been criticised a lot (things like, I should speak more, I should smile more etc.)

6) Describe your relationship with the following:
a) Anger
I’m a 9w8 in enneagram so this explains a lot. As I said before, I don’t get angry too often on the outside, but I have this sudden burst of pure rage at times that leaves me puzzled.

b) Shame

I don’t think I feel ashamed that much. In my mind I’m free to think about whatever I want (I have a friend who is ashamed even of her thoughts) but probably shame arrives when I don’t really act on my thoughts, I know people would be “wtf” so I simply don’t do it.

c) Fear

I do have some fears, but usually they can all be summed up with my fear of death (like I don’t like flying because I’m afraid of accidents and stuff like that), but in my daily life I might be considered kinda fearless. Ah, I’m scared of insects but I don’t think it’s a real phobia, they just disgusts me.

d) Love/passion

My pride is more important than love, I think this basically sums up my relationship with this feeling. I also hate rejection, so basically I try to protect myself from this feeling as much as I can since I can get hurt easily.
Passion as in sex or passion as in “I’m insterested in music” for example? For the first one I don’t have much problems, there can be passion without feelings, for the second meaning… well, I think hobbies are one of the most important parts of our lives and define who we are. I’m not that constant with my hobbies tho, I start something, than I drop it and start something new, than I drop the new things and go back to the new one etc.

e) Conflict

I don’t live much conflict in my daily life, but when it’s necessary and when it doesn’t involve people like my family, I’m absolutely ready to fight.

7) What are some of the themes that have played a prominent role in your life (ie. A struggle you’ve been unable to conquer, ect)?

Themes? Probably from one side my social anxiety and my desire to be closer to people and my difficulty to make that come true, from the other side the contrast between external expectations and my preferences. I know society expects people to have a good job and earn money (and I value it, especially money), but at the same time I think it’d be super boring to do the same job all my life, I’d want a more flexible relationship with it.

8) Answer only one of the following:
a) [College aged and above] What is your area of work/study? Why did you choose this and would you change it? If so, what would be your ideal?

I study foreign languages and literature. I chose it after my hellish high school experience, I chose a school focused on science and math (because I thought it would be more “useful”) and I hated it with all my being, so after that I learned I shouldn’t care about what’s more “useful” and do only what I like, so no, I wouldn’t change my current area of study.

9) When meeting a new person, what do you tend to focus on?

I try to be sociable and expressive, kind and ready to help. I try as hard as I don't want to give them the impression I’m quiet and shy right from the start. I want them to think I’m nice basically.

10) How do you feel about humanity as a whole? What do you feel are some of the biggest problems the human race faces and why?

I might be horrible but I don’t have a positive opinion of humanity as a whole lol I think humans are decent or interesting taken as individuals, but in groups or as a whole? Scary.
Currently, I think that social media gave too much opportunity to blatant idiots to express their unnecessary and dangerous opinions.

11) What are some of your hobbies and interests?

I like writing (which is what I’m more invested in right now), drawing, cooking, gaming, having a walk, being in the nature, shopping and meet my friends. But they’re all kinda cyclical so there are times where I go hard on writing and ignore drawing for example, other moments where I draw and write zero, so it really depends.

13) How do you usually “hang out” with your friend(s)? When answering, think about what activities you tend to choose, whether you hang out with one person at once or many, whether or not you initiate the interaction.

Usually I hang out with one person or very small groups. Generally I don’t like sitting down at a bar talking for hours, I prefer to do something, like shopping, walking, sightseeing etc.

14) What is more important, actions or words? Why?

As a linguist (?) I value words a lot and above all how they are expressed. Sometimes we don’t even notice how important they are and how much they affect us. They’re very powerful. Actions are important too as they can help you measure how much the words someone said are true or not. I’m very good at reading faces and bodies and evaluate how honest or how emotionally involved they are.

15) Oh dear, you’ve been cursed by a witch! It’s ok though, you get a choice on which curse you will receive. Will you choose….
a) To never be able to experience the sensation of taste
b) To be immortal
c) To lose your memories
d) To be poor for the rest of your life
e) Or to never experience passion
Elaborate on why!

But this one is kinda easy… a, c , d and e are all absolutely negative and a nightmare for me, I’d definitely choose b. What's the point of never experience the sensation of taste, food can give a lot of happiness and I would hate to lose my memories, it could be like I didn't live anything. I'm already without money so no thank you and a liefe without passion is like a life without taste, pointless.

16) What do you hope to avoid being? If it helps, describe a person who embodies what you avoid/you as a villain, ect.

I want to avoid being dumb person, unaware of what happens around her, being used and humiliated by others.

17) How do you relate to obsession? Do you tend to "merge" with others or your interests? How do you feel about the idea of doing this?

Obsession? I don’t think I’m particularly obsessed by anything. I also think merging happens rarely, but never with people, always with my interests. If we’re still talking about merging, it’s actually a pretty cool sensation, it’s like I lose contact with myself and only that particular activity exist.

18) Organized or messy? Plans and blueprints or impulse and surprises? What are you preferences and tendencies?

Usually messy and unplanned until I can’t anymore then I try to put myself at work (still in a messy way, but it really isn’t much of a problem for me since I manage to get my stuff done anyway).

19) How do you subjectively view comfort and how do you create comfort in your life and surroundings?

For me comfort is more related to people mostly. I can be uncomfortable in my house if there are people I don't like, but I can be comfortable anywhere if there are the right people. If we consider comfort from a physical point of view, I think I value it. For example, since my lessons are all online now, I bought the cheapest desk in order to be more comfortable while attending my classes. If I had more money and space in my house, I'd definitely pay more attention to it.

If you want to ask other questions or if something wasn't clear, please tell me :)
