I never develop crushes on fictional characters played by actors who appear in the flesh and blood. I find it impossible to separate the character in those cases from the person who plays the character. I keep thinking "Yes, this character may be attractive, but that isn't really who they really are." I do have one fictional character with a special place in my heart, though, and that would be Riku from Kingdom Hearts. He is an INTJ.

Okay I know this isn't thread for it so typically I'd leave it alone but Riku, Intj?

The constantly showing off to his friends "get me the hell off of this Godforsaken island!" poster child for A type personalty-Riku is an INTJ?

TJ, sure. N? Eeeeh I don't think so. But I? You think Riku is an introvert? Not in a million goddamned years.

Think it's more of a crush on Damian Lewis but Bobby Axelrod (ENTJ) and Major Richard Winters (no idea of mbti type since it was watched a long time ago but from what little I've recalled of detail, there was plenty of Fi and maybe even Si, albeit applied in lower levels of the stacking). But, maybe not since I've seen him in other roles and there's no crushing.

Personality is one part inherent, three parts a matter of interpretation. Perhaps Riku isn't an INTJ. But I can say one thing for sure: he is no ESTJ, if that's what you're saying. There isn't one drop of Si in him.

Balsa! Not sure about her type, probably ISFJ, but it is clear she is a rather 'perfect personality' so makes it hard to type. She has a bit of every xxxJ type in her.

Caring, patient, powerful, focused, proud, principled and freaking badass.

I guess there is no other option then-oh wait.

He is the perfect ENTJ stereotype; ambitious, stubborn, stupidly resorts to doing things his (the wrong way) out of impatience " You haven't fixed this yet so Im' gonna do it myself." deeply cares about his friends but is really shitty at expressing it.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Twitter persona. ENFP. Joy, affection, humor, indominable spirit, speaks up for what’s right.

... sigh, ok fine, actual fictional character. Shiro from “Voltron: Legendary Defender”. INFJ. Quiet strength, loving dedication, wisdom, intelligence.

Fictional huh?

Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa. ENTP, charismatic, attractive, funny and smart. I'd love to go into detail on how smart she is but I'd be way too deep in spoiler territory so I'll have to leave it at this.

Junko *Gag.* There is nothing deep about her. She's just another wannabe Edgelord. Her voice is so annoying it makes me want to kill myself ( but that's just the English version) so hey, I mean. that's pretty despair-educing.

I agree the english voice is terrible, but I'm all about the Japanese VA's so it doesn't bother me to be honest. There's just enough to her to make her good enough for a fictional crush I guess, and for whatever reason she entertains me all the time, if it works, it works. When it comes to other favorites I don't lack in the depth compartment though, and I can say that with confidence after studying the characters that interest me the most.

Heh, so glad you didn't take it personally. I was afraid you might have, the joke being well, *Points to avatar* I can't really speak. Kiyo might be the worst person in the series ( excluding anime which I haven't seen.) but I can't type the crazy fucker, either of them.

I certainly can't say Junko isn't entertaining.
Who does her JA voice?

Naah no worries! I actually like Kiyo, he's actually pretty deep and interesting and the ethical integrity of a character doesn't bother me at all, in fact him being as "horrible" as he is supposed to be only makes him that more interesting, although I haven't studied his character(s) that much I'd say the difficulty you're having with typing him is justified, the dude is bonkers, I can't tell if he has tons of Si or Te or Ni or Fe. Although I might try to go back a little and do some research on him, one of the few interesting characters I haven't given too much attention yet.

Megumi Toyoguchi is Junko's VA in the games and the anime and I know she plays Yukari in the Persona 3 Movies, other than that I'm not sure what roles she has.

There are many things I like about the series but interesting, well-rounded characters is not one of them. Most are one-note tropes so I am always quite fond of the more ...layered characters. ( one of my favorite moments with Kiyo is at the end of his trial when they ask why he wasn’t interested in resurrecting anyone and to everyone’s suprise he says something to the effect of “ You guys actually believe in that crap?!”)

I really enjoy how the “ crazy” characters in that series are written. They don’t fall into what I call “ The Joker role.” Often times the insane ones are just sooo wacky and unpredictable. “ What’re they gonna do?! Who knows! They’re craaaaaazy!” In DR there is always a method, and motive to thier madness. They aren’t just crazy for crazy sake, They have clearly defined mental illness and yes, you can usually tell what will set them off and how they will react to most situations.

That could be fun. I’d love to help if you do. Also like to see what you come up with.

And I didn’t know there were persona movies. Should def check that out!

I'll definitely tell you some of my ideas when I have the time to start looking into Kiyo, it will definitely be a fun ride!

By the way, out of curiosity, what do you think about Nagito?

Himura Kenshin: typed as INFJ and I think, 9w8. I find him interesting and admire his ability to overcome difficulties and change himself from a cold assassin to a kind wanderer.

I look forward to it!
The only thing I know is that he is NOT an "I" like everyone else has said.
NOTHING about him is "I". It's just that stupid stereotype that all "E" are loud. Kiyo will talk anyone's ear off, he loves being around people and studying them, even after everyone voted to execute him he calls them "Friends" and insist he'll watch over them ( I imagine that an introvert would respond to the threat of an unnecessarily horrible death with something like "Well at least I don't have to deal with you assholes anymore!" *Flips dbl bird*) but no he doesn't yell constantly so definitely an "I".

Nagito...hm. He is also a tough one. I feel like I would know much more about him had I seen the anime. The meticulous planning of his own murder seems like something only an Ne could come up with, as well as his concept of "luck."
I wonder if luck is even something an S would put much stock into at all? I feel like they would have more of a "Shit happens" sort of attitude.

That he seems willing to go along with the order of "luck" or the law of karma -rather than try to force it to follow to his will- leads me to think P?

As for I/E he has no problem working with others but I wouldn't chalk that up to extraversion so much as just going along with them to achieve his obsessive goal of helping others.

Nagito says he trusts his own luck but he influences it greatly, unlike Naegi's luck that works subtly and unpredictably Nagito's luck is predictable despite being so overwhelmingly powerful. Being predictable means that he can implement it in his own plans with a rather high degree of reliability.

As far as his type goes I already typed Nagito as an ENFP, possibly 4w5 or 5w4. Though there's too much to type here so I won't go into detail, not in this thread at least.

I've thought a bit about Kiyo and I definitely see strong Te and Ni in him, I wouldn't be surprised if I typed him as an ENTJ after a more detailed analysis. It's too early to say anything conclusive however.
