Default Some type of XNXP. Help me solve the mystery pls!!

Help me end my typing crisis. Aaaaa.

I'm pretty sure I'm some type of NP. I use a lot of Ne.

I'm a 9w1, tritype 964, if that matters at all.

    Anyways, here's a questionnaire:

    1. During your youth (7'ish to 18), What did you focus on the most? What activities did you like and why? What aspect of life was lax in attention?

Being an 18 year old myself.... looking back, most of my life has been focused on art, friendships, relationships & learning. I've always been lazy when it came to school. I was an honors student up until 6th grade, but became sort of an "average" student after 7th grade. I've pretty much just been "barely scraping by" these last few years, and hopefully I'll do just enough to be able to graduate this year.

    2. You're in you senior year of high school (or whatever equivalent) and you are looking back over the last couple of years. What was your favorite aspect of the schooling experience and why? Favorite subject and why?
Ehhh I couldn't really say. I don't like school or the American education system. Especially my school. A lot of the rules they put in place to try to get the students to be more orderly are counterproductive. I won't go into detail on all of that, though.
I guess my favorite parts of school were art class, history class & the few friends I made here. I was one of those freshmen who made friends with mostly upperclassmen, so now that I'm a senior I'm pretty much alone :l I just want to get the hell out of here, at this point.

    3. A couple of friends call and invite you out to a restaurant. While there, you all are pleasantly conversing and one of your friends makes a comment that irked you. What are you're thoughts and how do you respond?
I usually won't do anything about it. I like to keep my mouth shut in those types of situations. I see no point in starting an argument where there doesn't need to be one.
Even if it really offended me, I'll probably forget about it and brush it off within the next five minutes.

    4. Your schooling is done and it's time to strike out into the world!! What sort of career do you want to go into and why?
Oh god this is a hard question. I've been considering so many things... being a history teacher, travel agent, flight attendant, pilot, astronaut, psychologist, graphic designer, even joining the air force..... I couldn't give a solid answer on this just yet.

    5. A friend is getting married and they put you in charge of the cake. You narrowed it down to two places to make an order. The first is a bakery with whom you got a good relationship with. The other is a well-known cake maker to whom everyone goes to (your friend hints to it as well). Which one do you choose and why?
I don't know. I'll choose the one that makes the best cakes.

    6. You get into an argument with a friend/family member/co-worker. They criticize one of your personality traits. What would most likely be the focus of their critique?
Probably my laziness & tendency to procrastinate. I definitely wouldn't blame them for critiquing me about that. it's not gonna stop be from being lazy, though

    7. It's New Years! You and your friends are out and about after a party. Being drunk, one of your friends suggests to do something....'questionable' (Nothing serious. I.e, drugs, escort, etc.). What are your thoughts and how do you respond?
I'll probably go for it. I'll be nervous and scanning over the possibilities of the bad things that could happen in my head, but I'll do it anyway because I usually like to have faith in my friends that we'll have a good time. I'd definitely be sure there's a babysitter if there's drugs involved, though.
Either way, if it ends badly, it's just another story to tell. or I'll be dead, but at least the story behind my death will be a crazy one

    8. A new art gallery opens up and your friend wants to go to the grand opening. Both of you analyze all the paintings and sculptures. What about these works warrants the most attention from you? Why?
Probably the historical works. I'll be magnetically pulled towards the oldest paintings & sculptures. I love looking at things made decades, even centuries ago. It's so interesting to see how art evolves and changes over the years.

    9. You have been saving up and decide to buy a new car. At the dealership, you peruse the lots. What are the criteria and factors that influence your choice? Which one would initially be your main focus?
Honestly? As someone who doesn't even have a car yet, I'm fine with anything that doesn't look too trashy, functions properly, and gets me around.

    10. Yep, you now have a kid (sex of your choosing)! Years pass and they are now 15 years old. You notice their personality traits are the complete opposite of how you were when at their age. Describe how they are. Describe the possible conflicts that would arise between both of you due to differing temperaments.
I was kind of a depressed, hormonal, careless mess at 15, so my child would probably be really cheerful, organized, and put-together. Of course, I'd be completely okay with that. However, my messiness and laid-back attitude would probably get on their nerves, lol.

    Some more things about me;

I am good at reading "vibes" off of people and have a good sense of what their intentions are. Every time something dramatic happens in my social life, or someone does something bad, I think "I kneeewwww it!" However, I tend to doubt this intuition at times and give people benefit of the doubt... which usually doesn't end too good.

I come off as cold & aloof but if you're friendly to me, I'll try my best to be friendly to you. I'm just extremely socially awkward.

Seriously.... I am really awful, socially. I'm awful at paying attention to people sometimes, especially during small talk. Or when people rant to me about things I could care less about. I try my best to appear friendly and tuned-in, but my apathy is really hard to hide sometimes..... but I do enjoy interesting, thoughtful conversations, and my face actually lights up when someone brings up a topic that I really like, or have a lot of knowledge about.

I often can't tell what my own emotions are and will feel conflicted about situations for days, sometimes even weeks until I figure it out. I often have to ask around to my friends & family and see what they would do. I know it's counter-productive because everyone feels things differently, but it at least gives me a sense of ways I should react. Sometimes I'll never decide on things, leave them in the air, and hope they fade away and handle themselves. Definitely not a healthy habit of mine, but I hate making solid decisions.

I crave intimacy & close friendships/relationships..... but then when I actually experience intimacy and closeness with someone, it feels weird. When people love-bomb me I tend to respond sarcastically or try to act oblivious.. even if I feel really happy about it on the inside. It takes a LOT for me to show my mushy, lovey side to people, and even when I do, it's quite awkward. Like when I say "I love you" to people, I kind of have to force it out the first few times until I get used to saying nice things to the person. I have no idea why I'm like this, tbh.

I'm a bit sensitive, but bad at identifying & expressing my emotions. My stress usually ends up manifesting itself in isolation, bad habits (overeating, drugs), skin-picking, depressing jokes and a messed up sleep cycle. I don't often talk about how I feel to people because I don't want to be a burden; although I usually feel a little better after "getting it out".

I am very much into art & writing. Everyone tells me I should pursue a career in these things, and as much as I like the idea, it annoys me when people suggest that because making a living off of just art and/or books isn't as easy as it sounds. Both art & writing are time consuming, first of all; second of all, it's not even guaranteed that people will buy my art. I am going to try to pursue these things as a side career, but even just the thought of solely depending on those two things is scary, because I know I wouldn't be able to make enough to financially support myself unless I became really famous (which is a slim chance.)

Hope that's enough for you people haha. Or I hope I didn't write too much. ;_; I just want to end the typing dilemma and figure out who I am. Help pls.

    Hi equinoxx,

    First guess would be ENTP.

Between self description of being messy, laid-back, brushing off offense, being interested in things, being wordy, and no signs of much moral judgement
It aligns with having Ne, Fe, Ti, weak-Fi, & Ne + Ti in no particular order.

The Cold/Aloof vibe may appear from Ti (higher chance Ne-dom's perceive this, but Ni-dom's will see past it, while S-types will consider you friendly [Ne])

Also with the amount of energy you appear to show in writing- it further ups chances of being ENxP types. Thus ENTP is highly likely.

Anecdotally, I also know 2 ENTP friends (ironically both female) who exhibit similar tendencies as those you describe.
They don't argue every chance they get- which seems to be a strange assumption of ENTP's, however they wouldn't be afraid to express their thoughts in public.
They also have interests in the arts, and humanitarian efforts.

Let me know if you have unresolved considerations.
