Swivelinglight Thanks for your help! However, I've always thought of myself as an introvert, not an extrovert, as the descriptions of introverts has always described me more than that of extroverts.

Santtu Swivelinglight Thanks for your help, I have read through some information about the INFP. Some of the descriptions do match me, such as this one "Their curiosity about the world, including its potential role in clarifying their identity, can inspire INFPs to travel or adopt a peripatetic lifestyle. They may, for instance, choose to explore other cultures, live out of a vehicle, or take to the woods. As long as these sorts of explorations feel stimulating and life-giving, INFPs will continue to explore them, even amid pressures to embrace a more conventional path." I wouldn't imagine that I would do this kind of things as I would rather stay in a more comfortable surrounding. INFPs are also described that their "personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better." However, this doesn't really describe me as I am someone who is more of a pessimist than an optimist and I would always see the actual thing that has happened and am actually quite cynical about things, I'm not idealistic at all. I am also not someone who actively seeks and values harmony as I believe that some things need to be made clear, even though it might come across as harsh.

Hence, I am still quite confused about this. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I still think you're INTP with inferior Fe, especially if you don't consider yourself idealistic. Have you read up thoroughly on the cognitive function descriptions? If you read Ti vs Fi and compare each function in INFP vs INTP stacks to eachother, I think that would help you narrow it down rather than read up on descriptions and generalizations. Have you ever explained cognitive functions? If... - Confessions of a Myers Briggs-aholic Try reading that to start out. Remember to keep in mind the order of functions for each type while reading. INTP: Ti - Ne - Si - Fe. INFP: Fi - Ne - Si - Te. I think this will get you further than generalizations.

I was thinking INTP until I read the responsibility part. That sounds like Te.

However, I still am curious why I sometimes relate to INFJ things more? Is it because of the Ti and Fe? One example is this picture here:

Is this just a generalisation of Introverted types and not really specific to INFJs? Thanks!

PS: I'm not a 'he', sorry for any confusion caused xD

If you're really only 14 then it's really hard to round out your personality type since your dominant and auxiliary functions are still in development. By 14 the only one that should be obvious is your dominant function. Take another look at yourself in 10 years and see what's changed and what remains consistent.

The quote is relevant to people who are considered 'ambiverted' or people that straddle that E/I line closely. INFJs are known as types that do get close to that extroverted line i.e. their auxiliary function sometimes desires to take a leading role, at least for a short while.

For me I get close to introversion a lot since my Ti rides up really close to Ne sometimes.

EliaBlack Hmm... then any ideas what I sound like? To elaborate more about the responsibility part, I myself am not actually very responsible and am lazy sometimes, and I would not mind that much if I were in a group doing a project and my groupmates are slacking a bit. I am more frustrated when others are irresponsible about things that they should be responsible for themselves, and in turn cause others trouble. I have strong sentiments to this because my sister acts like that when she can very well do the things properly, yet chooses to not do so and cause my other family members and me trouble. I hope this elaboration helps :)

ZNP-TBA Thanks for your help! So your advice for me is that 14 years is still too young to be able to judge my type accurately? I realise this is a possible reason as to why I find it so hard to find out my mbti type, but I am unsure too which of my function is dominant. When I was really young, maybe 6, I used to be really socialisable, much more than how I am now, but I guess being socialisable doesn't really account for whether I am an introvert or an extrovert. So I guess I would have to wait a few more years to be more sure about this?

EliaBlack Hmm so you say that I could have different functions? Because INTP and INTJ have entirely different functions. Sorry for asking, but could you please explain why? (sorry if I seem rude ...) thanks!

What do you make of this?^

What are the top 3 things you value (abstract or not)? [Just further questioning ^^/]

I'm not very good at identifying functions unless they're obvious, but you seem like an introvert and an intuitive.

Honestly I see a lot of Ti, Fe, Fi, and Te in that order, so my best guess is a very balanced INTP.

I'm also getting the same signal. She did mention she has dysthmia. She did mention she values logic but with her words she is very considerate of others. I might subject her as INFJ, honestly. \o_O/

Keikoppi Hmm... I don't really relate to the Fi but I relate to the rest of the other functions. As for the Si part, I do keep a lot of things as momentoes for sentimental value, just that sometimes I would choose to think through it rationally and realise that keeping those things do not actually have any uses, and I might throw them away if my room is too messy. However, most of the time, I would choose to keep the item.
As for your 2nd question... Hmm... I would say I value time, music and my laptop :D Haha I realise this answer might sound immature, but at this moment, those are the things that I value the most.
Thanks for your help!

ah I see... Wow so I have opposite functions... Is it because my functions have not developed fully yet that's why there is still no clear indication which function is the strongest?

Wait, how old are you? Age can factor into this. I still think INTP.

Hmm... I have considered INFJ too before, and I had believed that I was an INFJ for some time. However, I don't really think that I am psychic like all the descriptions about Ni and I frequently guess wrongly when I try to make predictions hahaha But that said, I like INFJ things the most. One example is a post I found about MBTI types as spongebob quotes. I liked the INFJ one the most, that says “You don’t pay me. We don’t even exist. We’re just a clever visual metaphor used to personify the abstract concept of thought." I find that I really like this hypothetical stuff.

Haha yeah I'm still quite young, I'm still a student aged 14 xD
