Hi,

I have always wanted to know what my MBTI is. The online tests are not very consistent or reliable.

About Me:
-Teenage male who has more female than male friends.
-Always in my head.
-Never want to offend people/ hate fighting or confrontation.
-Have a good grasp on reality.
-Spend my weekends at home, usually myspacing friends.
-Feels like not even my best friends truly know who i am.
-Don't mind being alone, but love being with friends.
-Always have to be early to meetings/trains etc.
-Finds it hard to open up, I'm even scared that anyone I know will read this as i don't like to talk about myself.
-I don't express my excitement.
-I used to be quite quiet, but now i'm only quite around people i don't know well and my close friends can't shut me up.
-People can't make me upset easily.
-Constantly apologizing for things I don't do.
-Will do anything for anyone.
-I show more affection over txt's or myspace.
-When I know someone well enough, I can guess how they react to certain situations.
-I can be shy sometimes.
-Can empathize but I never really know what to say or how to act when someone is really sad.
-I feel that people may see me as being one-layered as i really don't express much.
-Great listener.
-Dislikes disrespect, superficial people or people full of ego.

MORE INFO (Please tell me if you need me to describe a specific part of my life... I'm running out of things to say!):
-I like to see the best in people.
-I remember random conversations in great detail.
-A world inside my mind.
-Quite messy.
-Quite gentle and caring, even if my care isn't always shown.
-Don't have a lot of faith in my decisions.
-One of those people who have plenty of friends.
-Get along with people from many social groups.
-Doesn't EVER initiate conversation with randoms.
-Knows more than others think.
-Great insight into situations or people.
-Isn't very creative, but would LOVE to be.
-Don't express my feelings.
-Feels awkward in large social interactions, especially involving dancing.
-Basically a weird combination of Dexter from Dexter (reserved, doesn't really enjoy social interaction, nobody really knows him) and JD from Scrubs (funny, caring, world inside his mind, doesn't want to hurt anybody) LOL.
-Feels awkward when somebody says something really serious or very sad.

If this isn't enough information, please tell me what you would like to know!

Thankyou in advance!

I am no expert but this sounds like INFJ.

Yes, you will need to give more information since this is your first post.

EDIT
With more info I change my vote to INFP.

I think you're an INFP.
IXFJ's have an easier time expressing emotions than IXFP's but both types are equally focused on emotions.. (Fe vs. Fi)- your post screams Fi, IMO.

My sister, a P (ISFP), HATES being late to things because she doesn't like hurting the feelings of the person who is running the event.

So, some believe I am an INFJ, and others and most think INFP.

Are there many distinct differences? Would anybody care to name some?

Thanks!

Give this a spin
you'll have to scroll to the bottom and click next about 5 times,
until you reach a list called the " Highlight Tour "
peruse the options there, and tell us aboot it

INFJ or INFP? a closer look

Thanks for the link!

I was a bit confused, so I only did what I could.

Here is what I have found out about myself:

1. Communication Style - Informing
2. Interaction Style - INFP / Behind-the-Scenes
3. Cognitive Process - Introverted Feeling - (Fi) - EVALUATING IMPORTANCE

My intuition says you are the INFP Skylark (the animism title is my interpretation) rather than ENFP Ferret. I am glad I am not one, as it seems the most difficult of all the personalities.

I arrived this my matching up your personality with somebody I know. Try the Paragon test.
take the PLSI

Another test is whether you keep calm in confusion. INFPs have a reputation of appearing unaffected by conflict around them that is not directly related to them. I think their lack of obvious reaction is a mistake.
