So I know this guy who is a TOTAL d-bag and I was thinking, how do you type someone who is like that? Here are the characteristics I have picked up about him and you tell me what you think his type is:

- He was controlling (he criticized me constantly for not working a better job, working out enough, having a clean house even though it has nothing to do with him)
- He was impulsive with money
- But he paid his bills on time
- He was an electrician and stuck with the program on time
- but he dragged his feet on his homework
- materialistic (he was obsessed with designer this and that and dressed well)
- low self-esteem
- rather quiet around new people
- could carry a conversation forever with a few close friends or one-on-one
- never read books
- critical, judgmental, STRONGLY held personal value system
- said he was just "telling me the truth" when he would be unsupportive
- did chores when he got home
- finished things he started
- terrified of being left
- very talented artist but gave it up and acts like it was impractical or silly
- loves to watch sports
- loves fixing cars
- loves racing cars
- funny, weird sense of humor

OK what type is he?

I'm thinking unhealthy ISTJ. The only ones I'm pretty sure of are I and J. According to typelogic, ISTJs are likely to be a "my way is right so you must adopt it" kind of person. I see a lot of Te in your description but also qualities of an Introvert. T means he's more likely to tell the objective truth than the one that will make you feel better. Final answer, ISTJ. My next guess would be INTJ.

I'm unsure... you call the individual a d-bag, then give a list of normal traits you'd find in an average human being. I'd generally think the label wasn't necessary unless you're rather eager to openly state an opinion upon the person as a little free gift to us...

OP hasn't set any perimeters.

When, where and how does s/he act these out?

Compared to? What're they like?

Also, help me break out this cage I made from chicken bones and candles.

Edit: on second thought, as bizarre a combination as it is, I can see 7w8, I'm also unsure of his MBTI. he could actually be a really stressed out xNFP.
- 7: terrible with money, weird sense of humor, likes racing cars and watching sports
- stress 1: critical, angry, nitpicking into other people's business, moralizes inconsequential preferences
- stressed 8 or w8: controlling, angry, domineering

if you don't like him, he's probably an SJ.

seriously though, most of the things you listed aren't related to type.
