Why can't an INTJ be a pacifist?

I see pacifism as a more Fi or Ti philosophical construct that theoretically might work in certain conditions, it seems wildly impractical, like it wouldn't appeal to Te at all, and this is aside from stereotypes about INTJs being dark and vengeful.

What about tertiary Fi?

I think in a regular INTJ, Ni/Te strategy and "what works" would take priority to this, unless they were in an Ni/Fi loop.

INTJs are associated with things like chess and the higher echelons of the military. I'm not saying they don't want peace, because surely from a philosophical standpoint they could, but Te does "what works."

Pacifism doesn't work very well when an enemy country is bombing the shit out of you.

Are we typing people by personal philosophy now? Also, what about Te users that aren't military officers? Wasn't Norbert Wiener an INTJ pacifist?

exactly
Fi and Te when used in unison ask "what is the right thing and how do I get it" for instance: a bully is beating up another kid on the playground.
Fi: this is wrong!
Te: the result I want is for the kid to stop being beaten up. solution is simple, kick the bully's ass

Te is generally concerned with which logical action works.

Is this indicative of life philosophy? Of course not. A INTJ could be a Christian, a libertarian, a socialist, an atheist...whatever.

When faced with war, and an enemy country which absolutely cannot be reasoned with, pacifism does not logically work, which is why I reject it, though it sounds nice in theory...and does work in *some* situations. It just doesn't realistically work IRL in many situations, unless you want to die, or you want people around you hurt or killed.

I would build a pacifist system and use non-pacifist means to ensure it. I usually see myself exempt from the rules.

yeah, idk Marmie Dearest. my INTJ roommate is a bit more of a pacifist. though he's also a bit jaded and apathetic due to how things actually are.

Very well, it wasn't clear... I meant more as in an INTJ who never went to war and spends most of his time trying to create lightsabers out of blenders. ;)

isfp, strong fi. infp leanings. I'm pretty biased though.
Haha. Yeah, that's how it was for me on a lot of these. It'd be more interesting if we were more unaware of each others types.

Elfboy, you really get a SP/SX vibe?? I'm in debate. haha.
