Ah! I forgot to mention one more reason for my lack of anger. I'm sometimes afraid that it will drive people away - I worry a lot that I might be annoying people and driving them away. I like having strong bonds, even tough I sometimes come across as a bit needy in an introverted way.

I do not take back anything I wrote as an answer to your question. Consider this a late addendum to my second paragraph, the Asperger's thing.
