Keirsey said NF was Choleric?

I always assumed Choleric was NT, and Phlegmatic was NF. What was Keirsey smoking?

He based it on the notion that Choleric was "emotional" (while Phlegmatic was "calm and cool"). But Choleric is not emotional in a "Feeling" sense. Meanwhile the Phlegmatic is calm and cool for lack of energy, not because of Thinking, and this also is what makes him a "peacemaker", which matches NF.

You can even see evidences of these points for NT and NF right in his own books.
And a few others recognized this as well.

Totals:
Sanguine:18 Choleric: 4 Melancholy: 9 Phlegmatic: 9

I personally consider myself more naturally Phlegmatic. The Sanguine part of me has been more of my own crafting.

Geez, I can't even get past the first question.

Maybe I'll let you know what I got when I stop over-analysing myself as it pertains to this questionnaire...

Yeah, I can see it. Sanguine with a little melancholy thrown in. Sounds right.

And- seeing that there aren't many sanguines, why do I always feel like I'm part of the dying breed lol.

Many of the questions gave me the "none of the above" or "a couple apply equally" response, though.

Sanguine all the way. The other ones only had less than 4 each.

I have to say that some of the word parings were very difficult to decide between.. I'm not sure about the validity
