hello
I'm new here, and new to the whole myers-briggs temperment thing as a whole, but I couldn't contain my excitement when I saw this board, especially the fourty page thread about ENFPs! How wonderful!
Regarding the thread subject, (that's right, I disguised my introduction topic as a juicy tale full of drama and wit) I work in a small firm with only a couple other people. Over the course of the last few months (due to discussions within the office), I have grown increasingly curious regarding temperment, and decided I should find out where I stand!
With the help of my (ENFP) coworker, and a couple handy tests, we discovered to my delight that I am ENFP! How wonderful! It turns out that my distractibility and procrastination have an explanation! I just thought I was stupid.
My boss, already fed up with my coworker's sloppiness and unwillingness to um.. structure?.. herself is absolutely distraught! The world is falling, nobody is on her side, and she has totally switched to damage control mode. It's great. I've been told everything from "write EVERY THING I TELL YOU TO DO DOWN" to "are you SURE you're going to be able to do this??" to "You better not be a strong 'P'". Oh, the (to me) useless tension is delicious. Why can't she just let me keep my stuff in a huge pile, where it's easily accessable![]()
I could ramble (and how I'd love to!), but I'll cut it off here for the sake of you, my treasured reader and audience! I look forward to many good discussions and cockeyed rants!

Welcome to the nuthouse, just keep your pile in your corner and I'm sure the Js won't get too twitchy ^_^

Sounds like a funny situation. My manager is an EnFJ, and we joke about my type all the time! "Deadline? What deadline? Just how dead and how much of a line is this deadline?"
You should have your boss read about the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. The more he tries to define you, the less certain your definition becomes.

I feel your boss's pain.
Why do we always come here?
I guess we'll never know.
It's like a kind of torture,
To have to watch this show.
