Currently:
- The rise of the Postmodern era, its influence on my peers, and what I can do about it. Primarily, the overabundance of information in news media and its effect on people's ability to think for themselves.
Psychology
- Personality Theory
- Cognitive Theory (e.g. Cognitive Dissonance)
- Social Psychology (how people interact with groups)
- Applying engineering concepts to the human brain (e.g. Neural Networks, Feedback Control)
- Emotion - through empirical analysis and collaboration
Philosophy
- Heuristics - Shifting from a paradigm of life based on the Scientific Method to one based on an Engineering Method which does not depend upon absolute determinations
- Epistemology - The study of knowledge and Truth
- Metaphysics - The study of the true nature of reality
- Logic and Reasoning - Mainly the study of Logical Fallacy in conversation and how to communicate better
Less focused pursuits:
- Music Theory
- Aesthetics in film, music, and popular art
- Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
Previous intellectual pursuits:
- (High School) Special and General Relativity (including the underlying mathematics, though I had to guess at the tensor calculus at the time. Now it makes more sense.)

Philosophy, on occasion. I tend to get tired of this type of discussion pretty quickly because it can go on forever without a salient point ever being made, but it is enjoyable at times.
Exercise
Some sports"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."
