  • Good video from an Enneagram 2 coach about her type. Most 2s will be living our lives helping people around them and being there for other people. It's about the extent to which they help other people and the context in which they do it and the feelings that come up. If you are giving so much of yourself - that's great - but if you are doing it from a place of exhaustion or depletion or something else, it is a really hard thing to sustain. If you go around helping people when you don't have anything to give, it can cause a lot of problems. She used to do it when she was putting others needs ahead of her own - drop everything she was feeling and focusing on and put herself completely in service with other people. If you aren't looking after yourself and making yourself, it causes you to lack energy and be depleted. It can be hard to have that matched back to us because we don't get it at the same level. It can cause a lot of resentment and anger where we feel like we are not acknowledged. Do we always say yes because we aren't good enough without having to prove ourselves to other people? Recognize when you are just saying yes automatically. They are afraid if they say no, they will feel guilty. Feeling guilty is a signal that the pattern isn't serving you.
