1. They don't always say what they mean.

Yes we do.

2. They can get upset if you believe them when they say something they don't mean and act accordingly.

Nah.

3. They change the subject to something completely random once you start explaining why they should have said what they meant in the first place cause it wasn’t really a big deal and leave you all like  and :steam: (but still mostly :wubbie:)

That doesn't make any sense. Here, have this flower. :cheese:

I deal with those 3 things every day with my ISFP beau. Only I'm not left with warm cuddly feelings afterwards. This is actually the most common reason why we fight all the time. And it starts out with #1, then goes into #2, and finally by #3 we're so confused about what we're screaming at each other for that I feel like I'm in another dimension of reality. Well, until he storms off and says he "doesn't want to talk about it anymore" which means he'll stay pissed off until I confront him about it again later! Aargh!

Anyway, I don't know if this is common SP stuff, but my SP is never willing to accept that MY opinion/perspective is actually valid, but wants ME to accept, understand, and agree with his perspective. (He actually told me today that my perspective of things was "wrong!" That's when I said :2up: and walked off because there's no more talking to him when he's in full-blown "retard" mode!)

I think I have a good example of why we get frustrated with the idealistic types sometimes and vice-versa.

I recently had an argument with an idealistic type over that Australia is trying to introduce net filtering at the ISP level.

This will cause internet speeds to slow 30%+ making our internet even more of a joke compared to the world and will do NOTHING to stop net crime as 60%+ of net traffic is over peer to peer networks that this filter wont be monitoring. 90% of people oppose this law but our government is still pushing it.

Now obviously this is a terrible idea but the idealistic type was saying its good that they will stop child porn etc and agrees that we need this filter.

The frustrating part was I was being realistic and saying how a filter like this could not work but she was hell bent on saying how much we need the filter.

Fact is it didn't matter how much I said this wont work I'm considered evil cause I oppose something that could stop some bad stuff.

In a perfect world this filter would stop people from researching how to make bombs while at the same time still protecting our privacy (with net banking etc), internet speed and freedom.

But we don't live in a perfect world we live in a realistic one.

That is why SP types rule. Thankyou and have a nice day. ;)

I've read about that...sucks for you. Although, since P2P isn't being filtered, I'd figure THAT should still function full speed. (I guess that means you should use it more!) I would oppose it, based solely on the fact that I have managed to break/get around every filtering system I've ever encountered, and if it is possible, that means you are only hurting the people who follow the rules, which "bad" people don't.

Sorry for the off topic...

Yeah np lol. Seems our government has been spending too much time with China.

*sigh* damn communists

Back on topic though it was simply an example to show how the idealistic can sometimes get a little UNREALISTIC. To the point of actually sounding like a fool.

Oh, I agree that NTs can be pretty outrageous with our ideas sometimes, no doubt. I guess the problem is that we BOTH believe ourselves to be realistic. So, when we're talking about an issue and he presents his side, I automatically consider his perspective and see that there is validity in his POV. However, when I present my side of things, he's disregarded it as soon as it's left my lips. And I don't think it has anything to do with practicality either, because I'm not so "head-in-the-sky" that I can't differentiate between outrageous and plausible! I think it's because more often than not SPs can err on the side of pessimism versus realism, and essentially sell themselves/possibilities short! Or maybe it's just that their pride is hurt because they didn't come up with the awesome idea! :D

And lastly, the SPs:

  1. Activities with them could get you into trouble.
  2. They are horrible planners.
  3. They often forget to return things that you lend to them.

Aren't 2 and 3 pretty much true of all P-types? :D

If I don't return something that was loaned to me.... I assure you... I didn't forget... I just liked it enough to play the "I lost it" card. :whistling: :newwink:

SPs definitely can put up more with my quirks and absentmindedness than, say, SJs, but the only thing that stinks about SPs for me is that there have been a disproportionate number of them (ESTPs, to be exact) who have made me their target of ridicule. As a matter of fact, the only kind of bully I had in grade school was the ESTP one. (Alright! And the occasional EJ.)

But then again, one of my good friends is an ESTP. So there you go!

There's nothing I hate more in the world than SPs :(

All they want is big boobs or big muscles. They don't care about useful things like knowledge, wisdom, ect.
No, get a dude or a chick and hang out with yo bros in da bar.
Hmpf.
