I think a J with a free day can be very happy to not have anything scheduled. Like my ESFJ mom - type tested and self-confirmed - today, a Sunday. It's just their tendency to schedule and plan. And as an ENFP e6 I am a rabid planner and always make schedules even for my free days. I struggle to be spontaneous and do things on the fly, just like my ISFJ e9 boyfriend dislikes planning. But underneath those differences, the ESFJ and ISFJ are structured when it comes to dealing with the outside world and I am not, hence J and P.

The 2nd one may well be a P type, but she comes off ExFJ to me. Perhaps she has Soc instinct or e2 and that is coming off Fe to me.

I believe in best-fit type so I find the premise of a "fake" xxxx sort of funny. Sometimes it's clear that a different label would fit better but other times it's not so clear.

If you consider yourself a rabid planner, why did you type yourself as an enfp?

Enfp's can't stick to plans for very long, and on the rare occasions where we actually do make a plan, it rarely gets followed in a step by step way.

ENFP

outgoing, social, disorganized, easily talked into doing silly things, spontaneous, wild and crazy, acts without thinking, good at getting people to have fun, pleasure seeking, irresponsible, physically affectionate, risk taker, thrill seeker, adventurous, unprepared, attention seeking, hyperactive, irrational, loves crowds, rule breaker, prone to losing things, seductive, easily distracted, open, revealing, comfortable in unfamiliar situations, attracted to strange things, non punctual, likes to stand out, likes to try new things, fun seeker, unconventional, energetic, impulsive, empathetic, dangerous, loving, attachment prone, prone to fantasy

Because I follow the ENFP cognitive pattern. Behavioral tendencies don't equate to cognitive type.

I actually associate a lot with the 3rd one. She seems maybe 7w6 to my 6w7 but I empathize with the way she gets enthusiastic and launches into reflection and then slows down and then gets distracted and has to refocus. I also felt NT during late childhood, like she voices. The first one seems J, maybe even ESTJ with a good dose of Ne, and the second one seems so ExFJ it hurts. The 3rd and 5th one I feel like could be reasonably ENFP. The 4th one, ugh, annoys me too much to watch.

These videos make me realize how much I dislike people making weird voice modulations and thinking they're cute.

yeah the 3rd and 5th ones are the ones i thought might be.

tho...i think they're both completely over doing it....they actually all seem to be overdoing it and i find it a bit offensive. like someone reading about enfps and then attempting to behave like one....rather than just being one.

also...no one would confuse me for an esfj or enfj...so i don't think i agree that we're easy to confuse on the surface at all

and that lil description you posted is mostly true but it doesn't account for maturity and it shouldn't serve as an excuse for poor behavior....like sure that's your tendency but it's not okay to actually be that way irl all the time.

I only watched a little of one. And maybe another for a few seconds. But they seemed like they were acting and I just wasn't that interested.

Well in the case of the fella deluding himself into thinking he's an istp, it is quite clear cut that he is not. istp's are characterised as using the least words possible. There is a big difference between the length of the real istp and the deluded one. The real istp talks for 3 mins, while the fake one drones on for 14 minutes.

That's just one example of why he is fake. There are many more.

They do actually. That's the kind of whole point of it.

If someone has Ne as their dominant function, then they will scan the world for possibilities and become bored with what actually is. They are excited by what is new and this accounts for their difficulty in seeing anything through to completion.

Yes exactly they are all acting and it's very obvious. (except the enfp. She's genuine in what she is saying)

I wasn't making excuses for my type, I copied and pasted those adjectives from another site. We do become less reckless as we age, but it will always be in our nature to be disorganised. It takes HUGE effort to get our shit together. Huge effort.

I do totally agree about the ISTP. My brother's an ISTP and I would have a really hard time believing that's the best typing for him.

That's true to an extent, and I do associate with all that, but it doesn't account for other factors that might prevent an ENFP from acting on cognitive impulse all the time, like fear, loyalty, responsibility, and so on. For me, I find novelty and satisfaction primarily in interaction with people, and I can be happy with a degree of routine if there is still people-variety within the routine. Planning also is my way of ensuring that I will have fun. Most of my plans revolve around travelling, which is my favorite activity.

Well you obviously didn't listen to the content of what the enfp said. She has obviously been accused of being lazy all her life and came to the realisation, that she is not lazy, she just enjoys her leisure time. And needs lots of leisure time to allow her imagination to run free. Only an enfp would look at it in such a way and turn the concept of laziness on it's head. She mentioned that Dr. Seuss was an enfp and that he's considered one of the most profound thinkers of all time. I can't see an esfj making a statement like that. I actually love the way she put it and felt empowered by it. Cos she is dead right. Our function in life is to come up with novel ways of doing things and to understand the big picture. We need time away from constraining responsibilities to do that. We need room to breath.

The reason I know the other 4 are enfj is because of how they extrovert their feeling. Their presentations have a dramatic flair that enfj's are known for. The third one even said she wants to be an actress. Look at all the posters on her wall. All the enfj's I know have stuff on their walls too. (I'm not saying other types don't have stuff on their walls, that's just one little clue amoung many others that would suggest enfj) They are a lot more expressive than the enfp. Fi is a lot more self contained. Jung described it as rivers run deep. It's hard to explain in words, so that's why I put the video's up to show people the difference and what Fe vs Fi actually looks like.

Watch the video's again and now that I've pointed the differences out, you should be able to see them. Just like the moonwalking bear was noticeable only after it's existence was pointed out. (but I'm guessing you didn't watch that video either.

I don't expect you to watch the 4th one. She was a total spaz in all fairness. (People pretending to be something they are not are generally annoying as fuck) But do listen to what the enfp has to say. Just because she has her nails painted all nice and her home looks beautiful, doesn't mean she's an esfj. I have my nails painted all nice and my home looks beautiful too. We can come across as very normal on the surface. It's not until we open our mouths that people think we are unusual.

Well you must be an enfj so.

http://www.personalitypage.com/ENFJ.html

As an ENFJ, you're primary mode of living is focused externally, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit into your personal value system. Your secondary mode is internal, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.

ENFJs are people-focused individuals. They live in the world of people possibilities. More so than any other type, they have excellent people skills. They understand and care about people, and have a special talent for bringing out the best in others. ENFJ's main interest in life is giving love, support, and a good time to other people. They are focused on understanding, supporting, and encouraging others. They make things happen for people, and get their best personal satisfaction from this.

Because ENFJ's people skills are so extraordinary, they have the ability to make people do exactly what they want them to do. They get under people's skins and get the reactions that they are seeking. ENFJ's motives are usually unselfish, but ENFJs who have developed less than ideally have been known to use their power over people to manipulate them.

ENFJ's are so externally focused that it's especially important for them to spend time alone. This can be difficult for some ENFJs, because they have the tendency to be hard on themselves and turn to dark thoughts when alone. Consequently, ENFJs might avoid being alone, and fill their lives with activities involving other people. ENFJs tend to define their life's direction and priorities according to other people's needs, and may not be aware of their own needs. It's natural to their personality type that they will tend to place other people's needs above their own, but they need to stay aware of their own needs so that they don't sacrifice themselves in their drive to help others.

ENFJ's tend to be more reserved about exposing themselves than other extraverted types. Although they may have strongly-felt beliefs, they're likely to refrain from expressing them if doing so would interfere with bringing out the best in others. Because their strongest interest lies in being a catalyst of change in other people, they're likely to interact with others on their own level, in a chameleon-like manner, rather than as individuals.

Which is not to say that the ENFJ does not have opinions. ENFJs have definite values and opinions which they're able to express clearly and succinctly. These beliefs will be expressed as long as they're not too personal. ENFJ is in many ways expressive and open, but is more focused on being responsive and supportive of others. When faced with a conflict between a strongly-held value and serving another person's need, they are highly likely to value the other person's needs.

The ENFJ may feel quite lonely even when surrounded by people. This feeling of aloneness may be exacerbated by the tendency to not reveal their true selves.

People love ENFJs. They are fun to be with, and truly understand and love people. They are typically very straight-forward and honest. Usually ENFJs exude a lot of self-confidence, and have a great amount of ability to do many different things. They are generally bright, full of potential, energetic and fast-paced. They are usually good at anything which captures their interest.

ENFJs like for things to be well-organized, and will work hard at maintaining structure and resolving ambiguity. They have a tendency to be fussy, especially with their home environments.

In the work place, ENFJs do well in positions where they deal with people. They are naturals for the social committee. Their uncanny ability to understand people and say just what needs to be said to make them happy makes them naturals for counseling. They enjoy being the center of attention, and do very well in situations where they can inspire and lead others, such as teaching.

ENFJs do not like dealing with impersonal reasoning. They don't understand or appreciate its merit, and will be unhappy in situations where they're forced to deal with logic and facts without any connection to a human element. Living in the world of people possibilities, they enjoy their plans more than their achievements. They get excited about possibilities for the future, but may become easily bored and restless with the present.

ENFJs have a special gift with people, and are basically happy people when they can use that gift to help others. They get their best satisfaction from serving others. Their genuine interest in Humankind and their exceptional intuitive awareness of people makes them able to draw out even the most reserved individuals.

ENFJs have a strong need for close, intimate relationships, and will put forth a lot of effort in creating and maintaining these relationships. They're very loyal and trustworthy once involved in a relationship.

An ENFJ who has not developed their Feeling side may have difficulty making good decisions, and may rely heavily on other people in decision-making processes. If they have not developed their Intuition, they may not be able to see possibilities, and will judge things too quickly based on established value systems or social rules, without really understanding the current situation. An ENFJ who has not found their place in the world is likely to be extremely sensitive to criticism, and to have the tendency to worry excessively and feel guilty. They are also likely to be very manipulative and controling with others.

In general, ENFJs are charming, warm, gracious, creative and diverse individuals with richly developed insights into what makes other people tick. This special ability to see growth potential in others combined with a genuine drive to help people makes the ENFJ a truly valued individual. As giving and caring as the ENFJ is, they need to remember to value their own needs as well as the needs of others.

interesting. that's the one my infp bf thought was the enfp too. i didn't watch much of it because i got the vibe that she's saying the right things but i just don't buy that it's true about her because she appears esfj to me. my boyfriend said no...she's just southern that's what is throwing you off.

ha maybe you're both right...i'm just pretty sure that i do not come off as esfjish at all even tho i usually look put together ish annd my house is usually pretty.

Yeah number 3 is genuine in that she is talking about herself. But she typed herself wrong. She's an enfj, not an enfp.

The 2nd one is the enfp.

I watched other video's of hers and enfp didn't jump out at me at first either, so I can see why esfj seemed a likely type to you, but listening to the content of what she was saying and the obvious problem she has with people calling her lazy is an enfp problem. Plus the realisation she came to is very enfp.

I encountered the 3rd video before and thought the individual was an ESFP not an Fe user. I guess I should go back and take another look.

I have a questions however:

a) Do you intend to go on their channels and call them out as mistypes?
b) Do you have any videos of people (who you think) are mistyped as INFPs? I ask because I admittedly care little about ENFPs and their problems whilst I like to occasionally lose myself in the passion of a witch hunt when it comes to mistyped INFPs.
c) Any more videos of people providing a "response video" to being mistyped? Preferably ones who are clearly mistypes yet refuse to acknowledge it.

Thanks.

i just came across this infps video and relate to her vibe more than any of the above enfp videos posted.

eta: not necessarily everything she's saying but her manner. she's just real. there's nothing that feels put on about her. i have known many nfps and have never known any that behave all overdone cutesy like the chics in the videos.

That fourth girl, she thinks she's ENFP but doesn't like making facial expressions ? What?! Most of them are SeFi, I think the third girl is genuine NeFi, she seems like a pretty good example of NeFi actually.

I think Kendra above is very much a Ti/Fe user, her natural energy is very flat/neutral, and projects her warmth outwards rather than inwards.
