Listen to the words and study the presentation.

ESFJs trend toward saying categorical and judgmental things.

All --- are dogs.
Religion is whack.
God is everything.

They judge others, not necessarily summarize.

They tend to simplify their lives with lies.

I only date older...
This is a brand name outfit. Anyone who doesn't wear brand name is beneath me.

(I've said nothing of anything else other than that which I have spoken of.)

I am the exact opposite of everything you just said about ESFJs.

Allow me to summarize this post ...

According to you ESFJs are:

1. Simple-minded
2. Dishonest
3. Shallow
4. Full of themselves.

I think it is you who is judgmental.

Shallow, definitely.

For those ESFJs that don't relate, you might be something else-- ENFJ, ISFJ-- even as much as this post wasn't meant to cover all the bases.

My advice stands. Watch for the judgmental tone. Sounds like politeness vs. abrasiveness is being confused here with judgment/categorization.

This is ridiculous. I've never heard an ESFJ talk like this except as a joke (and I've identified my mom and an ex-coworker as ESFJ). If they say "all men are bastards," they know very well that it's not true that ALL of them are and that they're exaggerating a bit (or else their boyfriend/husband would be pissed). It's just how they currently feel. But usually they don't categorize because that's an abstractoid thing - generalizing. Concretians usually talk about one item or person at a time, or one spatially related or origin-related group of items or people at a time.

Brand names? Hah. Didn't you know SJs are all about bargains and plain fashion? I mean sometimes ESFJs can be about the latest fashion, sure. But I haven't personally met any confirmed SFJs who have judged anyone by whether they were wearing brand name.

Shallow, definitely.

Wow. You just categorized "ALL" ESFJs, even as much as to say that a person is not that type if they don't fit YOUR fine distinctions, and then dare to call all of "THEM" judgmental? :rolli: hahahaha... :rofl1: it's true, the addage, y'know... when you point the finger, you've got three pointing right back atcha. :newwink:

For your clarification, sir, this is Keirsey's word on what kinds of groups each of the four temperaments like to talk about (which I find to be true):

Guardians (SJ) - clusters - (flock of geese, pool of cars, grove of trees, crowd of demonstrators)

Artisans (SP) - sets - (golf clubs, knives, office furniture, football players, acting cast)

Rationals (NT) - sorts - (differing arts, differing sciences, differing philosophies, differing personality types)

Idealists (NF) - classes - (canine animals, evergreen plants, granite rocks, Westerners)
