Personally I think that Homer started off as an ISFP but changed into an ESFP as the series progressed....

I think he's always been an ISFP, he just gets thrown into a lot of social situations and tries to make the best of it. But ultimately, he'd still rather be on the couch watching the game, having a beer.

Although, he has also self-described as "a people person. . . who drinks." Sounds ESFP-ish to me. ;)

I'm a "people person" too, but I'm still an introvert.

This thread is relevant to my interests. Are there any more male ISFJ's fictional characters?

Hermione Granger's an ESTJ. Big time.

And I kind of think Bee from "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is an ESFP. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Dolores Umbridge, Harry Potter - ESTJ

That makes me sad. :(

Oh, and Tony Soprano is apparently one, too. I don't watch that show, though.

I definitely agree about Shrek being an ISTP. Shrek and I pretty much have the exact same sense of humor.

I think John Coffey (The Green Mile) is an ISFP, well he's not typical but he seems like raw Fi + Se to me.

Movie SJs

ESxJ - Norma Rae (actually, not a fictional character, but almost exclusively known through Sally Field's portrayal.)

both characters from When Harry Met Sally...

ESFJ - George Bailey, It's a Wonderful Life

ESTJ - Meryl Streep's character in Doubt (some reasons to believe she's ENTJ though)

ISTJ - Dottie, A League of Their Own

ISFJ - "Moonlight" Graham, Field of Dreams (also, technically not fictional)

xSxJ - Martin Sheen in Wall Street

Bree from Desperate Housewives is a complete ISTJ. I think her ex-husband Orson was an ISFJ.

Not a fictional character, but I think the Queen (of UK) is ISTJ. I've seen somewhere that she was ISFJ, but I think that's more the Queen Mother.

Agree that Hermione Granger is a blatant ESTJ.
