Well see when I was answering number 5 I didn’t really have a “picture or idea” of where I saw myself in 10 years. But as I was answering number 7 I thought to myself, shit, maybe I really do have an idea where I see myself in 10 years. So instead of going back and changing it like I should have, I just left it alone because I figured it really wasn’t a big deal. But I'm glad you brought that up because it was a little bit confusing. :coffee:

Oh and you’re absolutely right, I did put “too” instead of “to” oops SILLY me.

Did I forget anything else?

Just glancing very quickly and stopping on the first mistake I observed: your answer to question 10.

Oh yes you're a quick one. I should start reading my responses before posting, or I'm going to get my SJ card revoked.

But anyway good looking out, and keep up the good work.

Wow! Thanks, you guys! I really appreciate all of your responses. I've enjoyed reading each of them. And a blanket apology about the "Where do you see yourself in ten years" questions. I really shouldn't formulate questions like that while I'm doing a million other things. But thanks for humoring me!

Thanks, although I'm pretty certain she isn't interested in me. What I'm going to try to do tomorrow is instead find some closure for myself. Not to get off topic but basically what I'm going to do is let her know that while I am definitely interested in her, that I understand she isn't looking for anything serious and instead I want to try and be a really good friend to her.

She may yet surprise me but I've never gotten any indication from her that she was interested so I'm not at all banking on it.

I don't mind getting off topic in my threads, so don't worry. I think it's very courageous of you to lay it all on the line- I don't think I could ever do that. I hope you find the closure that you need and deserve.

...:D

AWESOME! Seriously though, that's an incredible discussion you've facilitated there.

In response to #2:
Absolutely :D

I knew I liked you. ;) People acting like idiots, children falling down, guys losing their ability to have children... what's not to like?? Okay, maybe not the old people falling over (it's like I can hear their bones break), but otherwise... funny stuff.

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?

I check it as I am driving away. I hate slow drive-throughs and don't want to hold the line up. Montgomery, Alabama fails at the concept (except for Chick-Fil-A, for anyone ever passing through).

I don't think Chick-Fil-A fails at anything.

Jonnyboy, I don't mind your answers here. I love learning about people. And JTG1984, I certainly appreciate your adherence to the rules. (And there goes my INFP-harmony-seeking self. :D )

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?

Usually.

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)
Some of it is, some of it isn't. It's never hysterical...

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?
Undignified

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?
I'm not great with money in that I'm not very frugal and I see it as something that comes and goes (so I do more spending than I should). I check my bank account balance semi-regularly...

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.
Pretty much.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)
Yes, I try to keep my food separated.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
:pornstar: (no meaning there, I just wanted to use it)

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?
Nah.

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?
Average enough.

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?
I'm kind of impulsive, but I try not to be mindless. I kind of touched down on this in question 4.

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards? There's a time and place for laziness . Chiding is continuous. lol

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?
English, no doubt.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?
I don't mind them, but if it's noticeably overdone, I guess it's annoying.

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden? (INFP's (well, I did when I was single) can stumble all over ourselves around a crush.)

Hidden yes but I get a little more shy I guess... or just more cautious about what I say/do. I get over it eventually.

True/False:
“If everyone would just do it my way, then things would run a lot smoother around here.”
False.

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
Cleanliness is great, but what a stupid statement.

“I have to write things down (class notes, grocery list) in order to remember them.” Definitely helps.

“There's nothing wrong with spontaneity as long as I can schedule for it.”
I'm not that regimented...

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?
Never did a drive-through before because I don't drive. But when ordering from the counter, I'll check and walk back at the same time, unless I already saw what they dump into the plastic bag.

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)
I'm not American but I love it. I love humorous shows of all sorts, Just for Laughs, Just of laughs Gags, Mr Bean, I do not hold back my laughter. They are the only few tv shows that gets me off my computer to watch them. The only few things I dislike about AFV is that half the time I see the guy talking to the people on there (Just get to the video clips already!), it's only 30 minutes long including advertisements and the clips would have been way funnier on their own without the same irritating guy commenting and ruining the jokes. (Like duh, I can see the jokes myself, I do not need anyone to point out the obvious!)

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?
Tough call. What kind of 'undignified' do you mean? I think my sense of what is undignified is different from others as I do not usually associate dignity with how presentable you are in terms of dressing. I think I'll go with undignified though.

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?
Not really... As long as I have a rough idea of how much I have in my bank account...

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.
Yes and No. A kickass 2d game artist, a game engine programmer or a teacher if I fail to break into the game industry.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)
They can touch, but they must be in different piles on my plate. as for finger food, I must eat them in pairs. Like having an even number of M&Ms every time I pop some into my mouth. That ensures that both sides of my jaws are chewing on almost equal amount of substance and not feel 'weird'. If I have no choice but to eat an odd number of them, I'll break the last one in half with my front teeth.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Has this been answered already?

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?
Not really, felt like they were the same question.

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?
No.

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?

:whistling:

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards?
Yes. No. Maybe sometimes.

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?
Geometry.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?
Depends. It's hard to convey emotions through just usage of words.
However, the one thing I hate about emoticons is when they are used on msn and when there are some people who know no better and assign them single lettered shortcut keys, turning all their sentences into a string of *emoticon**letters**emoticon*letters**punctuation*
Like for example:
Hi, how are you doing?
With all the bolded letters as some spazz-inducing rainbow coloured, animated emoticon of that letter.
Doesn't help when they spam nudge when I SPECIFICALLY told them not to, until I got pissed off and turned off that option and I'm digressing.

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden? (INFP's (well, I did when I was single) can stumble all over ourselves around a crush.)
No idea, most likely not since my emotions are usually obvious and I have a hard time trying to act out a 'feeling' I'm not feeling.

True/False:
“If everyone would just do it my way, then things would run a lot smoother around here.”
Life wise, no. Homework wise, sometimes. Especially if I'm working in a group full of Ps.

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
Most often no than yes. My table's a complete mess and my mum's the control and cleanliness freak.

“I have to write things down (class notes, grocery list) in order to remember them.”
Yes. I have a terrible memory despite supposedly having Si as my first function. My thoughts are usually just all over the place and if I don't write them down I usually forget about it. My mind doesn't work like a list, that's why I need lists to help me. But I usually only keep a list for things I'm really interested in and/or want to do. (Like starting a forum topic, I'll jot down whatever that comes to mind since I'll most likely forget that point before I get to typing it.)

“There's nothing wrong with spontaneity as long as I can schedule for it.”
I guess so. But I don't actively seek them out so, yeah.

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?

I probably will never use drive-through.

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)

I think they are showing the same videos here too, and they are sometimes funny. I watch 'em if I happen to be near TV.

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?

Uncaring I think. I'm not quite sure what tha undignified stands for, but atleast I don't value dignity too high.

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?

Only when I'm short of money and have to find out how much money I have left after paying bills and food. But when I'm money, I don't bother with my bank balance too much, but I'm always willing to save money.

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.

Yeah, sure. Everything is pre-planned and scheduled. :D Well, not really... but I've known from the age of 5 what I'd like to do for a living, and it hasn't changed in over two years. So the next 10 years will mostly introduce me my graduation, new job and possibly a family.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)

No, on the contrary! I like to mix all the foods together.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Isn't this pretty much the same question as number 5?

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?

So we are playing the meta game now? :D

No, that didn't other me at all, but that double question did.

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?

Well, hmm... that's an interesting question. I sure would like some more social skills, but then again I'm not really an oddball either. People who don't know me think I'm pretty normal, so in that sense I'd be a well-rounded individual.

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?

I always like to save money whatever I do, that way I'll have more money to spend when needed. I don't have a car nor a driving lisence (which is bit uncommon), merely because of money. I don't spend money on clothing, I prefer the inexpensive clothes (but of course, I'm not buying the cheapest rags... just the once that look nice but aren't the latest fashion). For example, I think that 25€ for a T-shirt is much.

But sometimes I spend money without much thoughts. I think it's a great feeling when you don't have to stress about the money.

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards?

No, I don't allow myself to be lazy, but I do it anyways. And that angers me. I can be extremely hardworking, but only if there's an external motivation, such as deadline or a friend in need. I find it difficult to motivate myself just because. So when I'm working just for myself, I tend to get lazy quick, and then I'm angry at myself.

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?

Both please!!
I just finished an english discussion course last fall, and it was great. Then again, I'd need to learn some more geometry, especially about 3D vectors and polygons.

If I have to choose, I'd go for math since that I haven't done enough yet.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?

Yeah... sometimes, but not too often. But I never ever use two similies in a row.

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden? (INFP's (well, I did when I was single) can stumble all over ourselves around a crush.)

Yes... and actually the opposite is much more difficult.
True/False:
“If everyone would just do it my way, then things would run a lot smoother around here.”

False! Even though it would make things logical to me, I'm no omnipotent being. Other people have ways that are sometimes better and sometimes worse than mine.

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

If so, then god is dead. :D So no.

“I have to write things down (class notes, grocery list) in order to remember them.”

I never take notes in class, and yet I excel. I have kinda photographic memory, so I remember things by situtations they occurred. But I need to use paper to process and order my thoughts. For example, when I'm working as a software developer, I have to write down on a paper what I'm doing, what's wrong with the code and what I need to do to fix it. That's essentially a Todo-list.

“There's nothing wrong with spontaneity as long as I can schedule for it.”

Some piece of spontaineity is good. But too much, and it will just mess things up. So while working, no spontainety. When off with friends having fun, then some will do.

I might have more questions later, but until then I look forward to your responses!

Are we out of questions already?

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?

No, i check to see if i received the correct change. If i did get the wrong order, i will go back and complain.

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)

I have an evil sense of humour so i do find the practical jokes funny.

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?

Undignified

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?

I always have a rough idea of exactly how much is in my account. I do check my balance every few days however, I am always ahead of my bills. I like to pay more so they are cleared sooner rather than later.

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.

Nope. I live from day to day. Why worry about the future, i may be dead so that is a lot of worrying for nothing, lol.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)

No. I just throw it all in the fridge. The only thing i am anal retentive about is the bread. The bread never gets packed with something heavy. NEVER squish the bread :steam:

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Alive.

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?

Yes.

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?

I believe so. I learn new lessons all the time and always looking at my weaknesses to strengthen them :)

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?

I am not so much conservative with money but if i need to save for something (saved £14K in 5 years to move to Canada) then i can and will do it. I am saving now :D for something big :newwink:

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards?

Sometimes, but i would like it to come more easily. usually on Sundays i don't bother getting dressed.

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?

Geometry. I get on far better with Math than English.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?

No, they don't irritate me. I like using them :hi:

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden?

Not a chance in hell. If i like you then i will come and get you. I like pursuing men. I am confident in my abilities.

“If everyone would just do it my way, then things would run a lot smoother around here.” Oh yeah, lol.
“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”I don't mind a bit of mess .. Just clean the god damn crumbs from the work counter.
“I have to write things down (class notes, grocery list) in order to remember them.” Noooooo. I just remember everything until i forget them.
“There's nothing wrong with spontaneity as long as I can schedule for it.” I love being spontaneous when i don't have something planned.

Apologies for not following the rules of true/false .. I just like being different/awkward.

I answered these questions under some degree of sleep deprivation. You might be getting more truthful answers out of me!

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?

No clue. I hadn't done a drive-through.

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)

I hadn't watch it in a while. My impression is that it is funny but the sound effects completely ruin it.

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?

Undignified is way worse. I am not a naturally caring person and that I am not good at expressing sympathy.

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?

I used to reconcile cash, credit cards, and bank accounts to the penny mainly because I started using Microsoft Money at an early stage. Speaking of which, it has gotten way too tedious and I don't enjoy matching transactions.

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.

I don't have a picture at all. I usually get those possibilities from other people and select one that like.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)

I don't like food with different tastes mixed together.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Married, good career, 1.8 kids (j/k). Standard stuff.

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?

A little. I wanted to write "See answer to Q5".

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?

I think I could be more well-rounded.

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?

Hanging out with friends.

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards?

Yes. Not too much chiding.

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?

This question is very interesting. when I first read it, I pick geometry. But then I thought about it and ask the question. What is college level geometry? I went and search and found a course called Euclidean Geometry, which requires Linear Algebra. At this point, I decided that I rather pick English.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?

It bothers me a little if the message itself is not serious, but it doesn't bother me enough to complain about it.

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden? (INFP's (well, I did when I was single) can stumble all over ourselves around a crush.)

I don't think so.

True/False:
“If everyone would just do it my way, then things would run a lot smoother around here.”

In situations where I feel that way, True. I don't feel that way too often unless the leaders have demonstrated incompetence.

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

False

“I have to write things down (class notes, grocery list) in order to remember them.”

In general, True. It really depends on my stress level.

“There's nothing wrong with spontaneity as long as I can schedule for it.”

True

I might have more questions later, but until then I look forward to your responses!

Sure, no problem!

Yeah no problem.

. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?
Yes.

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)
No way. I´m a non-American, but I´ve been there and watched it.

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?
Undignified, for sure. I don´t care about too many things to be bothered by being seen as such.

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?
Only after I finished paying all my bills. I´m in full knowledge of my bank account status.

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.
Yes.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)
Yes, and I also don´t like mixed foods.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In a first-world country, all legal, with residence and a working contract.

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?
Yes.

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?
No, I have some things that need improving.

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?
Yes: skin care.

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards?
No way.

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?
English. It is much more useful for what I do for a living.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?
Absolutely. It´s like people no longer knows how to use words.

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden? (INFP's (well, I did when I was single) can stumble all over ourselves around a crush.)
Yes, but only while I´m figuring out if he feels attracted to me.

True/False:

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
True. I can´t stand irresponsible or disorganized people.

“I have to write things down (class notes, grocery list) in order to remember them.”
False. Once I set my focus on something, I know what I need to do. Being a meal or a project for University.

“There's nothing wrong with spontaneity as long as I can schedule for it.”
True. I need time to do things properly. Last minute work is never well-done. And I only do things that I know that I can do well.

1. If you go through a drive-through do you check your order before you leave the window?

Not before I leave the actual window, but I definitely pull into a parking spot. Especially if it's Wendy's. You know, come to think of it, I tend to go to a lot of the same places, so if it's a place that I know is consistent, I won't bother checking (like Chick-fil-a).

2. Do you find America's Funniest Home Videos funny? (Apologies to non-Americans for this question.)

Yes. I miss Bob Saget though.

3. Which is worse: Being seen as undignified or uncaring?

Uncaring.

4. Do you reconcile your bank statements to the penny? How often do you find yourself checking the balance of your available cash (e.g. checking accounts)?

I don't reconcile them by keeping any kind of record, but I check the balance often to make sure no huge funny business is going on.

5. Do you have a picture or idea of where you see yourself in 10 years? Yes or no.

No. I have a picture of where I'd like to be, but I don't exactly see myself like a picture in my head.

6. Do you like to keep your food separated? (My SJ mother cannot stand to have her food touching; not having the corn mixing in with the mashed potatoes.)

Depends on the dish, but most likely I don't mind.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Where I want to be in 10 years is a mixing engineer, hopefully doing my own work as a recording artist recording my own material.

8. Did it bother you that question seven was not asked after question five?

I suppose you think that was terribly clever.

And yes.

9. Do you feel that you are a well-rounded individual?

After discovering MBTI, yes.

10. I've read that SJ's can be conservative with money. Is there anything you don't mind spending a lot on? Hobby/sport/living quarters/vehicles/clothing or the like?

I don't mind spending money on music gear, so long as it's within my budget and something I can get a lot of use out of. I just blew a ton on Logic Pro 9, so I guess that counts. Other than that, I'm a penny pincher :)

11. Do you allow yourself to be lazy? Do you chide yourself during or afterwards?

I'm extremely lazy, but I have no problem with this. As long as my laziness is producing some sort of hobby or interest or something, my view is that it will pay off in the end.

12. Would you rather take a semester of college-level English or college-level geometry?

English. I can B.S. papers like nobody's business.

13. Does overuse of emoticons/smilies in emails or forum replies irritate you? You know, where there's one at the end of every sentence?

If it's from anyone but an attractive female, then yes.

14. Do you think you could keep your attraction to a potential romantic partner hidden? (INFP's (well, I did when I was single) can stumble all over ourselves around a crush.)

I actually was surprised to find I could, and I believe I still can, but only for a while.

Extra little blurb on #10:

I love billiards. I will go out and blow a lot of quarters on one night of billiards if it's with a good friend or a date.
