8. I dont like open ended essays in school. I prefer directed writing.

I hate ANY open ended assignment. Just tell me EXACTLY what you want me to do in very concrete terms. Don't tell me to "make the assignment my own" or ask me "what I figured out from theorizing." Make it black and white and tell me WHY you want it. If I can't understand assignments, I will freeze up and not do ANYTHING at all. Which is totally opposite of how I am usually!

This hasn't been mentioned yet .. Maybe it's just me and not an SJ thing but ..

Hangers in the wardrobe, all have to be facing the same way. It is not efficient and time saving if they have been placed in opposite directions.

And how much time do you spent organizing these hangers? :D

I thought everybody did that. :cheese:

My offering for today:

You know you're an SJ when you go out of your way just to mark something off your list.

I am going to add paranoia to my list (got to have a list) shortly.

Never question the OCD, or else my friends in my head will cause mayhem.

How about, when you spend 2 hours working on accounting homework, give up on it temporarily because it's drained the life out of you, then go play a video game for a few hours and stop playing the video game because you feel guilty not finishing the homework, proceeding to spend 2 hours completing the work?

That's SJ for you.

Ehhhh .. Go off to play video games. No, couldn't do that personally. The homework would be screaming at me to complete it immediately. P.S i love numbers so i would enjoy it.

On a slightly different note, my eldest is doing business studies as part of his GCSE's and he already hates it. So i have told him to bring home his work so we can look over it together (Imaginary donut stand, so they need to work out outlays, profit margins etc)
Really .. I just want to do his work. Why didn't they have this when i was at school. Not fair. :)

You must just restrain yourself at all costs. :D Or make secretly your own stand. ;)

I don't want a donut stand, got to think bigger. Think Bill Gates or Richard Branson. :D

Been reading through this thread and affectionately LOL'ing as I see how similar my SJ pals are to the posters here.

I love SJs; you're like the bedrock, the foundation of society and everything would fall apart without you.

SJs rock. :)

/end derail

p.s. I deeply apologise for the derail. I do understand that it detracts from the tone of a thread and, in the future, shall strive to adhere to the topic at hand. :p

Hmm, let me see, Mo... *flip, flip, flip* :reading: Ah yes, in section 62.7, line 8b, of my "Rules for Life as an SJ, including How to Organize Socks" it says that "exceptions may be made and derails allowed in threads in the case of compliments being given." Phew, you're fine!
