Depending on the definition of what girlfriend is.

By definition of friend.
My first girlfriend could have been when I was 4 years old.

By definition of love.
My first girlfriend could have been when I was 16 years old.

By definition of sex.
My first girlfriend could have been when I was 18 years old.

I find the first girlfriend by defintion of sexual intercourse to be by far the least valueble of these three. And out of these three, there are many angles of thought which direct me towards having the opinion that my one and only ever girlfriend was the girl I met when I was 16.

wow this board is empty lol. Only 2 people viewing it compare to the NT and NF forum.

I never had a serious girlfriend,
girls i like, like someone else and i get stuck in the friendzone. Girls that likes me i don't like and they end up in the friendzone. Woe of my life really, i'm not bummed out about it do, i don't really care if i'm in a relationship or not.

And already 75% of the posters in this thread are either NT or NF. Teehee.

14, thanks to a little push from my friend.

It was "serious" in the sense that I was serious about it, and that I considered it a serious relationship. We didn't do many things that usually mark "serious" relationships, but it wasn't really that close or strong a bond, anyway.

lol .. I do wish the SJ's would come out of their shells a little more. That's the way it is though.

I was 14. Why, oh why? Bad boys are not cool, i just didn't realise that back then.

16 I suppose. I'm not sure how serious I was about it though.

I am not sure if this is an accurate statement so tell me if i am wrong due to my looking for patterns, inquisitiveness (fook, i spelt that right the first time, high five me) .. Derailed there, sorry.

NTP's seem to have a nonchalant approach to relationships ..

Yeah there is a trend there. The more nonchalant you can be about something, the less responsibility and commitment is expected from you.

And my first relationship was with an ISFJ who took it dead serious, which made me try to back-off and make it more casual.

I'm nonchalant about relationships in general. But nothing is nonchalant about me being in any given serious relationship at any time. If I want to commit, I can commit, 200%.

In that situation I think I'd just run... far far away.

Yeah I think I would have but I kept getting positive reinforcement that I was doing a great job, even though I wasn't sure where it all came from and generally didn't know what was going on.

The relationship lasted 4.5 years.

It was a great youthful romance! :cheese:

You partically answered my question i was just about to ask .. Do you generally like lack of commitment and responsibility??? In relationships or other aspects of your life.

22 and never had a girlfriend.

Does that bother you? Would you like to have a girlfriend? I like you lot, your just so quiet and shy.

16.

I'm kinda with Ajblaise, I tend to just cruise and rely on the other person to steer me in the right direction, and oblivious to the "temperature" of the relationship most of the time. If you asked me "how is everything with so and so" I'd just say, "Uhh, pretty good...I think." It's not a question I typically concern myself with. I tend to just pay more attention to the "person" than I do the relationship.

It does bother me, but I just don't like faking connections, and so many of them feel fake. Like I said in vent, my problem is an inability to meet new people and when I actually do, it's an inability to relate and maintain the friendship. I've gotten a lot better at it. It's not like I don't want a relationship because I surely do, it's just...really hard for me.
