Perhaps the SJs could say a little more to this with regard to their personalities, but as an ENFP, I can say I think libido is highly unrelated to how conservative one would actually be in terms of partners or openness about sex. In fact I've seen a lot of people who I thought had major poles up their asses just to find out that when they talked to me about their sex lives, they were the least conservative of all. In fact many of the people who talked and talked about it tended to be less like that. *shrug* I know this because people talk to me all the time about this kind of thing.

Oh well, maybe I should clarify. Although it is highly unlikely that a person with limited libido would decide to cheat, I do not think having a moderate to high one would make a person cheat. But maybe the SJs can say if that is accurate for them.

Perhaps SJs have even more libido than any of us but they can keep it under strict control.

Although sexuality can be a determining trait in morals and values. I do not believe that libido is strongly affected by a person's personal traits, these two concepts should be looked at and analyzed separately. There are a number of physical ailments that could result in a low, high or 'normal' libido.

If libido is not type related then why would cheating/fidelity be type related? It seems that it is easy to say that SJ's will not cheat..... Would a person not cheat to have sex?? Would this cheating at least some of the time not be related to satisfying the libido? Would you trust an ISFJ male more than an ESTP male with your date if she looked like Charlize Theron and they were alone together??

That's entirely subjective.

Peguy has done a good job here of revealing one pre-supposition after another. It's odd how many narrow assumptions you have. It's actually pretty ironic... The people who seem to represent sexual liberalism... being dismissive of other sexual practices.

Especially in the cheating case, I think that it isn't really a crave for more sex (high libido) but instead the fantasy of having sex 'behind their partner's back'. With fidelity, the person may feel more comfortable having sex with their partner thus filling a sexual desire of sorts. This is what makes them type related, as with cheating a person that loves to take risks may get a 'buzz' out of that, whilst a more conservative person finds comfort in the concept of fidelity.
