I think it's just the N. I do it even when I'm in an 'extraverted mood'. Actually, I think I do it even more when I'm in an extraverted mood.

Compulsively. Sometimes I don't even try to hide it. You have all seen the loon on the bus chuckling to herself. It is not often that I am addressing someone else in these conversations. Usually I am talking to myselves.

I'd say I do this ALL the time. And I do relate to the "storm" tactic. I try to figure every possible angle of an argument. Then when the argument takes place I tend to rape (metaphorically) the contender.

ENTP's hate losing an argument.

Yeah... I have them with 'myselves' too. For example, I'm running late for work in the morning:

Responsible Me: You'd better hurry up, you're gonna be late...
Sarcastic Me: NO crap. Do you think I don't know what time it is?
Timid Me: You don't have to be so mean...

All the while, I oversee these multiples of Me and shake me head thinking "Maybe I really am nuts..." ... Then I laugh out loud, knowing that couldn't possibly be true...

:hi:

 I have this discussion every day. Serious. Well, throw in a few expletives and I-can't-believe-you-did-that-are-you-insane.
