So... I noticed that the word " fear" in my understanding is not what it is in others' understanding. I noticed that when I was browsing movies I watched on Jinni( it' s a movie search engine, if you don' t know, and a rather good one) . I mostly prefer mindbending thrillers, some of them rather dark, which my mom( ISTJ, she also watches movies with me when we visit cinema in summer) calls " watch in order not to sleep" . However, there is little fear I can get out of it watching this. My general reaction to bloody and gory scenes is slightly disturbed, but not scared. My INFP friend even says she often closes her eyes when watching horror movies, while I just watch them with a deadpan expression. And I don' t remember a single case when I got nightmares. Recently I watched Hunger Games, which some people viewed as too violent. At the end I was like: " Oh, really? And where is the gore? " ( though I admit it, the atmosphere itself was very dramatic and moving) . To me really, most deaths were either offscreen or done in a rather clean way. Occasionaly I can get scared by the movie, though( but still no nightmares) , but that kind of fear comes unexpectedly, from the scenes theat others consider not so scary, and is either a flavour 2 Fridge Horror or an Adult Fear( and this is while I' m only 16) . You can' t scare me with monsters, blood or violence. However, you can scare me with my loved ones being murdered by a serial killer, or humans in the future will mutate into monsters, or my plans being foiled, or failing anything in general.
So, I wonder if anything like that happens to fellow INTJs? And what does generally trigger INTJ' s fear?
