I guess what I am trying to hit at, is that my personal experience with NT's is that they are actually sweet, candy filled nice people with a very nasty shell on the outside.

We are not piñatas. Please do not try to beat us with a pole to get that candy inside.

Megalomania by Black Sabbath

I hide myself inside the shadows of shame
The silent symphonies were playing their game
My body echoed to the dreams of my soul
This God is something that I could not control

Where can I run to now?
The joke is on me
No sympathizing God is insanity, yeah
Why dont you just get out of my life, yeah?
Why dont you just get out of my life now?
Why doesnt everybody leave me alone now?
Why doesnt everybody leave me alone, yeah?

Obsessed with fantasy, possessed with my schemes
I mixed reality with pseudogod dreams
The ghost of violence was something I seen
I sold my soul to be the human obscene

How could it poison me?
The dream of my soul
How did my fantasies take complete control, yeah?
Why dont you just get out of my life, yeah?
Why dont you just get out of my life now?
Why doesnt everybody leave me alone now?
Why doesnt everybody leave me alone, yeah?

Well I feel somethings taken me I dont know where
Its like a trip inside a separate mind
The ghost of tomorrow from my favorite dream
Is telling me to leave it all behind
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Got to get to happiness, want no more of sorrow

How I lied, went to hide
How I tried to get away from you now
Am I right if I fight?
That I might just get away from you now
Sting me!

Well I feel somethings giving me the chance to return
Its giving me the chance of saving my soul
Beating the demigod, Im fading away
Im going backwards but Im in control
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Getting back to sanity, providence of sorrow

Was it wise to disguise
How I tried to get away from you now
Is there a way that I could pay
Or is it true I have to stay with you now?

How I lied, went to hide
How I tried to get away from you now
Am I right if I fight?
That I might just get away from you now
Suck me!

Im really digging schizophrenia the best of the earth
Ive seized my soul in the fires of hell
Peace of mind eluded me, but now its all mine
I simply try, but he wants me to fail
Feel it slipping away, slipping in tomorrow
Now Ive found my happiness, providence of sorrow

No more lies, I got wise
I despise the way I worshipped you yeah
Now Im free, cant you see
And now instead I wont be led by you now
Free!

Oddly enough, I'll likely be seeing them when my INxJ friend comes into town the weekend after this one. Haven't the faintest idea what to expect.

Well, they're NTJ anthems at least...

Neurosonic-So Many People

Never heard this song before, but I like it...

Anything from TMBG, pretty much, and a lot of stuff from Weird Al - It's all NT-oriented nerd music. The fact is that they're all nerds, so it kinda fits.

I cannot imagine that I'd voluntarily listen to that sort of music no matter what my type was :D
Curious that many people think of 80s electronic music for us. Oddly, I like quite a bit of this music range...

Oh, I forgot. Another one by Johnathan Coulton.

For the once-was-good-but-turned-evil-because-scorned NT. Because you know how common those ones are.

Yeah... what's the deal? I love the Pet Shop Boys and they don't seem, analytically, very NT.... I mean, their lyrics are great, compatible with NT, but their aesthetic seems more emo... whatever. I'm human, n'est-ce pas?

My favorite of theirs is "Being Boring". God... gets me all verklempt.

YouTube - being boring - pet shop boys

I'm not really fond of the video though. I prefer to hear the song in a darkened room, either with a glass of beer or a cigarette (or both) in my hand, looking up at the ceiling-sky and wondering.

When you're young you find inspiration
In anyone who's ever gone
And opened up a closing door

She said: we were never feeling bored
cause we were never being boring
We had too much time to find for ourselves
And we were never being boring
We dressed up and fought, then thought: make amends
And we were never holding back or worried that
Time would come to an end

So what type do you think might like Big Black? ... and I guess Shellac, Rapeman et al.

I'll say NTs and SP thinkers. Less likely to be offended by the lyrics and attitude, more likely to discover the bands in the first place.

But this is just poor speculation based on type-stereotypes more than anything else.

some of these are just a little to metalheadish for a gullll like me. And I agree ENTP is a no whinish zone for me. My anthem is And She Was by the Talking Heads. Carmina Burana is good too.

And she was lying in the grass
And she could hear the highway breathing
And she could see a nearby factory
Shes making sure she is not dreaming
See the lights of a neighbors house
Now shes starting to rise
Take a minute to concentrate
And she opens up her eyes

The world was moving and she was right there with it (and she was)
The world was moving she was floating above it (and she was) and she was

And she was drifting through the backyard
And she was taking off her dress
And she was moving very slowly
Rising up above the earth
Moving into the universe
Drifting this way and that
Not touching ground at all
Up above the yard

Chorus

She was glad about it... no doubt about it
She isnt sure where shes gone
No time to think about what to tell them
No time to think about what shes done
And she was

And she was looking at herself
And things were looking like a movie
She had a pleasant elevation
Shes moving out in all directions

Chorus

Joining the world of missing persons (and she was)
Missing enough to feel alright (and she was)
