We aren't talking about jazz and when you made your earlier statement about us not understanding the humor you seemed to have the impression that we were crazy (why couldn't we see it?), which would then point to the fact that we just couldn't understand how funny it actually was, pointing towards a pomposity that you were slightly better in your humor. This is is why I said your version of more complex as far as humor goes is closely associated towards being better.

Puns and plays on words require the least mental gymnastics to understand. It's a relatively linear process- You see the word, think about the possible meanings it can have, find a funny one, and laugh. The video in the OP didn't leave anything to the viewer's imagination, it was what it was. It didn't inspire any thoughts in me, I just laughed at it because it was funny.

I've never thought sheer absurdity was funny.

There has to be some sort of catch.

Watch this video and post whether or not you found it funny as well as your suspected MBTI type. This is an experiment by me. I posted this in the general MBTI forum as well, but I think it will help in differentiating between NTs the most.

When it started, I thought it was utterly stupid.

Then the Serbian soldier playing the accordion came on, and I started to laugh because it was so ridiculous.

By the end, I was laughing not because the video in itself was funny (the various snippets of content were all kind of boring and stupid), but the compiled video with the parts interacting was so over-the-top and ridiculously stupid, and the speech so banal ("I will kill your horse" -- wth???) that I was laughing really hard. It was also inadvertently commenting on how ridiculously vapid a lot of music videos produced by the industry can be, as well.

I don't know if the creator intended it to comment on such things, and I'm not sure whether I was laughing at him or with him. (Probably more of the former, if he meant this as a serious statement.) If I did find it funny, it was in all the ways I was personally choosing to view it, perhaps way past the original intent of the creator.

Monty Python is far more nuanced and polished, this was more like the crass ESFP version, but I can still laugh at things that are just bizarre and completely incoherent, just because of the weirdness factor and especially if I think either the person meant for it to be serious OR they were purposefully trying to deconstruct meaning.

PS. Despite all this, it would be torture to have to watch it yet again.

I think the video was stupid. Perhaps I didn't get the joke..I mean I consider myself pretty well versed on Tupac...and I have a little knowledge of the whole serbia thing..but I fail to see how drawing a connection between the two (without explaining what the connection even is, as if is its obvious) makes this video funny. To me it wasn't funny, perhaps I just don't know enough about the two concepts involved to find it funny.

2) Chuck Norris jokes
3) Pretending to be someone you're not (for example...your roommate comes in and tells you to stop watching porn...to which you respond with something like "I will..just give me a couple minutes.."
4) Sexual jokes..(A guy once told me that for the first time two balls went into the same hole (he was playing pool) to which my response was "I don't think it counts unless the stick goes in as well.." .. I still laugh about that till today.. (he didn't get it..)
5) internet memes..
6) Irony..

At first I didn't know why I was laughing, so I attributed it to some subliminal message within the video. Then I started thinking about it and I think I laughed because of the video's sheer absurdity.
